This movie is not a horror movie. The soothing rhythm, well-designed details and touching plot make this film about soul salvation flawless. When the last doctor Malcolm’s ring fell from Anna’s body, all the foreshadowing of the previous article burst out, confused, shocked, unwilling, heartache, helpless... Finally, the doctor’s confession to Anna moved me even more. Don’t want it. .
At the beginning of the story, the doctor was shot by the patient he gave up, and then went directly to the following fall. Since then, the plot has slowly unfolded, and the small foreshadowing has also been rolled out bit by bit.
1. Every time the doctor went home, although he called me back, Anna never answered. There is only one plate and one cup on the dining table, and only one pillow on the bed.
2. The doctor can't open the handle every time he goes to the basement. But the first shot was misleading. The doctor couldn't open his hand for the first time. He stretched his hand into his pocket, but did not explain whether he took out the key. Instead, the camera went directly to him and went down to the basement. Look carefully at the clothes. The doctor wore a suit shirt before entering the basement, and a suit sweater after entering the basement! In other words, this shot does not happen continuously! !
3. When the doctor and Anna were in the restaurant on their wedding anniversary, there was only one set of cutlery and one tablecloth on the table. The doctor said a lot, but Anna didn't answer a word. Except for the last sentence "Happy Wedding Anniversary" which is also misleading.
4. The photo of the little boy's house freezes. It should have been caused by the boy's grandmother
coming back to look at the photo and touching the photo with her finger. Here my mother found that the temperature was very low and deliberately increased the temperature.
5. The little boy's sentence "I can see dead people, they walk around like us, they can't see each other, they only see what they want to see" This sentence is super key! ! ! ! Because this sentence explained why the doctor couldn’t see the bookshelf blocking the door of the basement, why the doctor didn’t realize that he was dead (because he could only see ordinary people and could not see other souls), the little boy didn’t notice the doctor at first. It's the soul (Of course, the setting of the protagonist, the doctor, is different, I will talk about it later)
6. The little boy gets up at night to go to the bathroom, and then he sees his grandma, not her mother. This is also misleading.
7. When Anna sold a ring to a couple, she said a ring "I imagine that the woman who owned it...loved a man that she couldn't be with." (Anna was talking about herself at this time). The girl in the couple said, "Is she curly hair and brown eyes?" (referring to Anna)
8. When Anna hugged the "third party", the glass in the store was broken. It should be the doctor who was very angry when she saw it. The temperature shattered the glass.
9. What the doctor heard in the tape recorder was Vincent begging for mercy to the soul. The intermittent voice is because he can't hear other souls talking to Vincent...
10. The open line in the movie is the help of the psychologist to the little boy, and the dark line is the little boy's salvation to the doctor's soul.
11. The reason why the little boy didn't discover that the doctor was a soul at the beginning was that the doctor always wore a suit when he went out, which covered the blood stains. One very important reason that the audience did not notice is that the doctors wear different clothes (sometimes in suits, sometimes in shirts, sometimes in sweaters, and sometimes without ties) in different scenes, just like ordinary people. Under those interspersed horror shots, the appearance of the soul in blood-stained clothes was very different.
Maybe everyone has regrets after death; there are things they want to continue to do; there are people who want to continue to love, but it is a pity that they cannot continue after death. Thank the movie for giving us a wonderful thought and ending, but if there are things I want to do before I die, I wish I could finish them before I die.
