After nearly two hours of belly laughter, I was very confused about how to write this "Deadpool" film review.

Love and hate may be a good adjective. The reason why I like this movie is probably the same as most audiences. This kind of superhero film that frequently breaks the fourth wall and communicates directly with the audience can be said to have not existed before "Deadpool". And for the first time to see such a low-mouthed protagonist full of subversive style, coupled with the frequent appearance of meaty jokes, I believe that very few viewers will not laugh out loud. And I don’t like this movie, it may be related to me not being a pure superhero fan, whether it’s a movie or a comic. But in spite of this, I can still understand a considerable part of the jokes in the movie and enjoy this entertaining 108 minutes.

By the way
, is my inexplicable "hate" of "Deadpool" just because I am not a superhero fan? of course not. Although I was quite surprised by the fact that "Deadpool" did not introduce any background at all, but the laughs were all highly dependent on these backgrounds, but the box office success and the constant laughter in the movie theaters proved that this comic pop culture is true. Is very deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. As a passerby audience, I can say that I don't understand quite a lot of background information. For example, who are Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (their English names are used to emphasize again that I don't know the translation of their names...), and those related to the X-Men background and so on. And I also believe that many viewers, like me, feel a little embarrassed when they can't laugh. But after the embarrassment, as a movie fan, it is easy for me to understand Ryan Reynolds's jokes about the green suit, and those restricted jokes that are filled with wonderful dialogues in the whole film.

Thinking about it carefully, my dislike of "Deadpool" is mostly due to its mediocre narrative and character structure. In terms of plot, "Deadpool" is basically the same as ordinary superhero movies, and even more rigid than most superhero movies in recent years, because if you replace Deadpool with a decent hero, the movie will also become a movie. Old ordinary inspirational superhero movie too. In terms of structure, "Deadpool" is two action scenes mixed with a large number of playback clips. Although there are a lot of highlights in reverse order and interludes, it does not take the overall structure to another level. Regarding the role, although the cutscene actors including the most brilliant charter lady are expressive, I have to be disappointed by the one-way nature of the main characters, especially the heroine played by Morena Baccarin Valesa. After the past 2015 brought us a large number of fascinating female characters, it is really difficult for me to accept that the reason for this existence is simply to please the boring female characters of the male protagonist. Her existence seems to be just to bring the image of a perfect goddess to many otaku audiences, because she is sexy and glamorous, but also because she understands all kinds of jokes about movies and pop culture. Of course, she will be kidnapped because she wants to advance the plot, but apart from that, there is really no other highlight. It’s really unrealistic to have the heroine of a superhero movie play the banner like Friosha in "Crazy Max", but today in 2016, to portray a female character who can take care of herself, and has The screenwriter can give her a description of different aspects, it seems that it is not an excessive request, right?

In a sense, "Deadpool" is somewhat similar in concept to the "Jurassic World" of the previous year, because they both hope to become a movie that subverts their genre. It's a pity that "Jurassic World" keeps telling the audience that it doesn't want to be an ordinary commercial blockbuster, but it can only satisfy everyone's appetite with bigger, faster and more brutal dinosaurs. And "Deadpool", when it constantly laughs at the lackluster plots of other superhero movies, it can't get out of the conventional clichés of superhero movies.

But just because of this "hate", it is very unreasonable to make trouble. After all, movies that can handsomely please different audiences are really rare today, and I can't deny the joy of the whole movie watching process, because the rare style of "Deadpool" keeps my blood in the blood throughout the whole process. Although the repetition of these bloody elements and vulgar jokes in the end made me feel a little numb, in fact, I still feel deep admiration and disbelief for the existence of such movies in the world. This is not because "Deadpool" is a niche and incomprehensible art film, so it is doomed to a narrow market. On the contrary, it’s incredible that as a superhero movie with a huge market, the producer still dares to take such a big risk to show this genre to the audience in a non-mainstream way. As for the result, I believe everyone already knows: "Deadpool" easily surpassed "The Matrix 2" to become the restricted-level movie with the strongest first week box office in history.

After
talking for so long, although "Deadpool" is full of shortcomings, I like it more than I hate it. And my so-called "hate" for "Deadpool" actually comes more from my worry about the future of superhero movies. What is certain is that after seeing the success of this non-mainstream limited superhero film, major producers will continue to bring more movies of the same type to audiences. But it will almost certainly happen at the same time, and what the major producers learned when referring to "Deadpool" is not its excellent production and originality, but its blood and three vulgarities. From this point of view, the impact of "Deadpool" on the entire superhero genre may be negative, because we as the audience will have to face more mediocre superhero films with blood and three vulgarities in the future instead of Like "Deadpool", although the sword goes slant, it can entertain the audience purely with surprises.

Even the sequel of "Deadpool" has to face this problem, because we have been surprised once, and it will be very difficult to win the audience again in the same way. However, the producer and Ryan Reynolds can enjoy this victory first and watch the market slowly. After all, another superhero movie that also takes the non-mainstream route has already started shooting for a sequel. its name? "Guardians of the Galaxy".
