Only foreign talents can do it

"Spotlight" is a typical American hero movie. The journalist once again assumes the mission of exposing the shady, saving the conscience and saving the children. However, this is not a fiction, everything is based on real events that year.

Belief in God is the cornerstone of the Western world. For Catholics, priests and bishops are representatives of God. The power of the church is very powerful, and it is one of the indispensable forces for maintaining social stability. So when the Boston Globe was determined to uncover the shady scene of priests sexually assaulting children, all kinds of pressure were indispensable. They are challenging the foundation of society's faith. However, the mission and conscience of journalists, to save children from the responsibilities of black hands, forced them to persevere and finally revealed the truth.

The plot of the movie is not particularly complicated, but what I am most impressed is the tremendous impact this incident has on the beliefs of many people. When the people in the film know the truth, they will look at the pastor's eyes clearly with distrust. When they see the children, they are worried that they will be violated. Will the grandma who goes to church three times a week go again?

This movie reminds me of last year's funny movie "The Interview" (Assassination of Kim Jong Un). That movie told a serious truth in a funny way. Is it useful to assassinate someone like that? What can really shake and impact the entire system is the collapse of belief after understanding the truth. This is fatal. Because after all, it's like a Muslim girl asking Brigitte Gabriel: "How can we fight an ideological war with weapons?" How can ideological wars be won with weapons?

Although the incident of priest sexual assault on children did not just happen, it has actually happened for many years, and different people have sent various evidences to the newspaper before, but this incident can be listed as a focused theme and fully explored and tracked. After all, the decision was made after the new editor-in-chief was changed. The new editor-in-chief is a foreign Jew. When people are too accustomed to their living environment, they will instinctively resist things that impact this environment. So natural change is difficult to happen. "It only takes an outsider to do it" can only be done by outsiders, as the lawyer in the film said, and this is also the truth!
