Troy

The movie is not bad, the grand scene and Brad Pitt’s performance both staged a Troy battle, but the 3-hour movie seems to be a little bit less, maybe because the theme of the movie is not so obvious. Maybe the movie didn't try to express a theme. The last half-human, half-god and invincible Achilles was shot to death by a vase prince. The almost useless vase prince not only deceived the beauty, killed the strongest warrior, and let the entire city use death for him. He paid for his mistake, but he ran away like a okay person...
"He is the strongest enemy I have ever seen, I won't want to fight him" "That's why no one will remember you!" He doesn't Loyal to any king, but participated in wars time after time for honor. "He fights for power, you fight for honor." Odysseus was right. God gave Achilles strong combat power and also gave Odysseus the ability to lobby. They just played their own roles. No matter what his strengths are, but Achilles does not believe in God, does not submit to any king, just to be able to stay forever. "This war will be remembered forever, and all warriors who participated in the war will be remembered in history" This became the reason why he participated in the Battle of Troy. Brad Pitt has always maintained his bohemian character, but he is restricted by some wise men in almost all films. Although he knows that others are restricting him, he seems to be willing. His mother understood him, "You will be remembered by the children, but when they die, no one will remember you anymore." After they go, they will never come back. I don’t know if Achilles believed him before he went. Mother's words, but he is going to go after all.
Compared with Achilles, Hector has a more traditional chivalry style, but do you always feel that ancient wars are so funny? Everyone was fighting, and then they became a group of people. They watched the two people fight swordsmanship, and then said that they would not fight today, and they would go home.

Troy quotes

  • Briseis: You lost your cousin, and now you have taken mine. Where does it end?

    Achilles: It never ends.

  • Achilles: [to his men] Myrmidons! My brothers of the sword! I would rather fight beside you than any army of thousands! Let no man forget how menacing we are, we are lions! Do you know what's waiting beyond that beach? Immortality! Take it! It's yours!
