This is not the European version of Quentin or Wu Yusen, although it is full of intricate gang relationships and sudden depictions of violence. An unspeakable poetry gradually exudes in the carefully designed picture, and it feels like watching a black fairy tale. The portrayal of fringe characters like speed stuntman is very unique, thanks in large part to Ryan Gosling's superb interpretation, which reveals the mentality of a taciturn character.
The label-style slow motion is exactly the same as the previous work "Bronson", but it is used more skillfully and restrained here. The first meeting of the hero and the heroine and the kissing/killing in the elevator at the end made me taste like Wong Kar-wai. Romance comes.
