Salvation is not the world, but the hero.

Going on the theme of science fiction, thinking that there will be an imaginary grand scene, fierce play and an eternal savior. Ten minutes later, I discovered that the original director wanted more than that.
This is a light comedy genre that is different from the past. The story is actually very simple. It is a showdown between high-tech and high-tech. But the subject is very broad. When the director wanted to attract the attention of the audience through this serious sneer, he discovered the true theme of love and salvation.
This movie has been constantly using the gap between the macro and the micro to create the cutest contrast value, which makes the audience smile happily. Whether it was the laughter caused by the sudden contrast of everything after Scott suddenly became smaller at the beginning, or the laughter caused by the sudden increase of ants and toy cars behind him. In this way, the protagonist of the movie is working hard to save the world.
But in fact, the salvation the director really wants to express is not only the salvation of the material world, but also the spiritual world. In the film, Dr. Pim said a word, save the world, save the children's world. Regardless of whether it is Scott or Dr. Pim, their only purpose in stealing the Hornets suit is to save the heroic image of the father in the hearts of the children. Because children need heroes. They need a hero to be proud of. Therefore, when Scott gave the doll to his daughter, although it was ugly, it was the most beautiful in her heart because it was given by the heroic father. Therefore, Hope wants to wear a battle suit because it is the mark of the hero's father. (Although the actors did not feel that way to perform)
It is precisely because of this that this film was able to win the Youth Choice Award. Children need heroes. It's no wonder that Hollywood movies have been enthusiastic about creating heroic images of all kinds.

Ant-Man quotes

  • Luis: We're the good guys right?

Scott Lang: Yeah, we're the good guys.

Luis: Feels kinda, kinda weird, y'know.

Scott Lang: Yeah. But we're not done yet...

Luis: Yeah, this dude sounds like a bad-ass, man. Like he comes up to him and he says, y'know: I'm looking for this dude who's mo' unseen, who's flashing this fresh tat, who's got, like, bomb moves, right? Who you got? She's like: Well, we got everything nowadays. We got a guy who jumps, we got a guy who swings, we got a guy who crawls up the walls, you gotta be more specific. And he's like: I'm looking for a guy who shrinks. And I'm like: Daaamn! I got all nervous, 'cause I keep mad secrets for you, bro. So I asked Ignacio: Did bad-ass tell the stupid fine writer chick, to tell you, to tell me, because I'm tight with that man that he's looking for him?

Scott Lang: And? What'd he say?

    Luis: He said yes.
