When Harry's mother said that to Harry, the value of human existence became the core issue. Harry's girlfriend has money at home, but material abundance is not enough to resist inner emptiness. What is emptiness? It is despair, nothingness, loneliness, and a life without a way out. Harry’s friend is a street gangster and wants to make a fortune by selling drugs. Harry also wants to get the first pot of gold in his life by selling drugs. Harry's girlfriend is like a costume designer. Harry's mother wanted to be somebody. All these are their dreams and the source of their hope.
Requiem, a piece of music that comforts the dead souls before they die. Where is the requiem of dreams? This is the eulogy for the dream of the protagonist in this article. Madame Bovary also has a dream, her dream is love. But what about after the dream? Even if one day the dream is really realized, what about afterwards? At a moment, people need to learn to say goodbye to their dreams. In other words, bid farewell to falsehood. In my opinion, dream and illusion are synonymous, because dream is to place one's own life, life, value and meaning in an impossible position. And people, after all, live in every minute and every second of the moment. As a result, the dream turned into a delusion. Or, dreams are delusions. Indeed, everything that enters the subconscious mind will not be the truth. They all escape the truth, and even more escape the reality that people need to face. A person with dreams is more delusional. Harry's mother ended up in a mental hospital, and Harry was eventually dragged into the country of delusion by his own dream. At that moment, human beings are finally destroyed in their own delusions, in the "life" that they can't get what they want. The dream life is a life different from the life you are in now, that is, "living elsewhere", but people elsewhere also yearn for "somewhere else." As a result, human life is consumed in "hope" and delusion again and again. When people say, "I", "I" stops in consciousness. This stop is by no means a mere symbol, but is accompanied by a story about "I". This story weaves the inner time and inner meaning existence mechanism for human beings. It is the existence of inner stories that govern the way human beings understand the relationship between the world and themselves. There is no person who is isolated from the world, let alone a monadic person. Because it is in the relationship that "I" can exist. The so-called dream, after being dismantled, is the talk of a relationship. There are no people who act and people who do not act, because only actions can constitute a relationship. Even words constitute a relationship. All existence is constructed in a relational way. And all this is just a game of consciousness, a recurrence of the relationship between man and the other.
So what is the end of the dream? Probably, the end of the dream is our feelings, the people around us, and all of these. To live true to life, a person is to stop and be present, use his body to feel, perceive and understand the world, accept everything that has happened, and embrace life itself. Only when we forget the dream can we truly begin to live.
