Awakening of Women's Independent Consciousness

I have seen it twice in the theater, the 2d and 3d versions. In addition to moving the spirit of love and sacrifice around the world, I think the director also wants to express in the film a spirit of liberation/reformation that is unique to that era.
In the film, Ruth has gradually grown from a traditional noble lady to an independent woman. In addition to the "spitting" with Jack learned/to reach the inferior cabin with civilians, Ruth herself is a "restless" woman who has the courage to break the tradition. Did not choose to continue to return to the original aristocratic life, but chose to start again.
It can be seen from the various photos of the old Ruth bedside at the end of the film that Ruth does not regret her original choice. What impressed me most was the photo of riding a horse with legs apart. Those who have knowledge of Victorian England will know that women at that time had their legs on the same side when riding a horse. Yes, you read that right. The legs are on the same side. (The picture is too beautiful, please imagine. ).
So, let’s guess irresponsibly. If there was no shipwreck, Ruth might not have started a new life so quickly. Perhaps it would be another aristocratic and civilian tear-up drama. Of course, if there was no shipwreck, there would be no such epic. Like a movie.

Jack: [Implying they're about to have sexual intercourse] Are you nervous?

    Rose: No.

[He smiles at her; their fingers intertwining. Rose gently takes Jack's hand and kisses one of his fingers three times. She looks up at him and is silent for a second]

Rose: Put your hands on me, Jack.

[He kisses her and she lies down in the seat, with him on top of her]

  • Irish Little Boy: What are we doing, mommy?

Irish Mommy: [lying to them to prevent them being scared and panicked] We're just waiting, dear. When they're finished putting first class people in the boat, they'll be starting with us. And we ought to be ready, oughtn't we?

    [Irish Girl nods]
