Ellis and White, Bonnie and Clyde on the White Road, were shot and killed beside the car as they should have been. But the endings of the underworld and the white are still different. They eventually turned defeat into victory in a gun battle "tolerated by their opponents". The bullets that can't be shot in two guns, the combined force of two people can defeat a gang of gangsters, it is all because of God's will. The magic of the genre film is that a gun battle is used to save two people who are at the end of the road, so that a contradiction that seems to be an abyss is easily resolved. Sure enough, the shootout is a ritual of film noir, in which the return of mainstream values is completed.
