It's because God is too reluctant

It's unclear how the film's box office in overseas markets is. It is almost certain that the Chinese issuer should be laughing from ear to ear this time. This film relied on the high-quality early promotion to get a heavy bucket of gold in the mainland, and there is no much suspense. It was also under the flicker of Cameron and a group of sincere and indistinguishable film critics that I walked into the theater out of my own pocket, only to find that disappointment outweighed surprise.

Going back to the film itself, I prefer this to be a niche movie, and it is a too modest and unsuccessful niche movie.

The reasons for non-popular movies are simple, the characters are simple (almost a one-man show), and the dramatic conflicts are thin (linear narratives are almost unexpected plots). The only commendable thing is the shocking simulation of the space environment, but this kind of novelty is difficult to last 30 minutes.

The reason for the unsuccess is also very simple. There is no bold breakthrough in philosophical thinking, which is an order of magnitude difference from the predecessor's "Moon" and even "2001 Outing in Space". Another problem is that this is actually not a science fiction movie in the strict sense, because all the plot settings are based on known existing technical conditions, but the scene is relatively unfamiliar, and it seems more reasonable to classify it as a disaster movie.

In summary, for those who have not bought a ticket, if you are a hardcore space fan or a fan of film technology, then just reluctantly buy an IMAX ticket. Otherwise, you must have some taste like mine.

If you don't go to the cinema, you don't have to watch it

The picture is slightly new. But in terms of sublime beauty, it is not as good as Prometheus. In the "silent vacuum", all kinds of sound effects are full of annoying. More than 20 years have passed since the Cold War, and Russian missiles, satellites and vodka are still conscientiously appearing in Hollywood movies where they are needed.

    Ryan Stone: Only the simulator.

    Matt Kowalski: Then you know.

Ryan Stone: But I crashed it.

Matt Kowalski: It's a simulator. That's what it's designed for.

  • Mission Control: Matt, do you have visual on just what Mission Specialist Shariff is doing up there?

Matt Kowalski: He appears to be doing some form of the Macarena or that would be just a best guess scenario on my part.
