Warm-hearted/religious films dressed in horror films

For the first time, I muster up the courage to watch a horror movie in the cinema, and the conclusion is that the director is still very kind. This movie actually focuses on warmth and nostalgia for the old days.
The story takes place in the United States in the 1970s. A family from a supernatural system moved into a haunted house. This haunted house is so powerful. From the time of hunting witches, a particularly evil witch contributed her child to the devil and then committed suicide. After that, many people died in the house, including the maid who was tortured to death, the boy who died accidentally, and so on. So the family kept encountering strange things, and all kinds of ghosts came to make trouble.
Fortunately, after hearing the story, the devil-seeking couple, who were brave enough to fight for justice, came to help, and they simply followed and protected them every step of the way. Although the ghost of the evil witch successfully parasitized the mother, the family still defeated the ghost with strong affection without causing any casualties.
I think this is a film that is not scary. Although there are horrible scenes (to be honest, I watched it from the gap between my fingers, so I don’t think it was affected), but the tone of the whole film is too positive. Once there is a horrible situation, a strong intervention force will be there immediately ( Including the powerful dad who is not afraid of anything, the demonic couple, their helper Asian boy, and Kong Wu's powerful sheriff, etc.). The film involves religion on a larger scale (the wrestling of angels and demons in Christianity), the historical event of witch hunt, powerful weapons to deal with evil forces (religious demonic rites) and so on. In addition, there are a lot of ghosts and distractions.
So what I think is really scary is people. When I watched Hide and Seek back then, I was really scared out of my soul. All the horror comes from the disconnection between people and society, and the sorrow in the mood is unforgivable. So like this film, the family is happy and listens to each other, how can terrible things happen in a warm society where strangers are willing to help.
