This product is not EVA at all, this product must look at IMAX3D

The film is very cool, simple and clear, the plot can be summarized in one sentence---robots vs. alien monsters, and the plots of other characters are negligible and have no effect on watching the movie. And this point of shooting is very good, the computer special effects and apocalyptic scenes need not be mentioned, the music is also magnificent and passionate, it can be said that it has completely surpassed the special effects blockbusters such as Transformers. So this IMAX version can score 5 points, and the normal version may be 3 points. As for watching the computer at home. . . It's better to watch EVA.
Speaking of EVA, many people said before the release that this product was a real EVA. At the beginning of the film, it was indeed quite similar. After the first fight, I discovered that, in addition to the driver’s clothing and the partial design of the robot, this product is essentially just A robot version of Tiansha Earth's counterattack, you can watch it without your brain. This is more straightforward and cute than the mystical EVA. Hahahaha.
Comparing the Pacific Rim and EVA again, I found that Americans and Japanese have a great difference in aesthetics. The dusty western cowboy flavor permeates the Pacific Rim. EVA is adhering to the traditional Japanese thinking of changing t. There are thousands of miles in the blue sky, and the battle under the grass is extremely bloody and cruel. There is no good or bad point, I personally prefer the design of EVA.
In short, in the films I have watched this year, the Pacific Rim temporarily ranks first. I hope that "Ander's Game" can give me more surprises in the second half of the year. I also hope that EVA will have a real movie version one day.

Pacific Rim quotes

  • Raleigh Becket: This is worth fighting for. We don't have to just obey him.

Mako Mori: It's not obedience, Mr. Becket; it's respect.

  • [first lines]

Raleigh Becket: [narrating] When I was a kid, whenever I'd feel small or lonely, I'd look up at the stars. Wondered if there was life up there. Turns out I was looking in the wrong direction. When alien life entered our world, it was from deep beneath the Pacific Ocean. A fissure between two tectonic plates. A portal between dimensions. The Breach. I was fifteen when the first Kaiju made land in San Francisco.

    [pause]

Raleigh Becket: By the time tanks, jets and missiles took it down, six days and 35 miles later, three cities were destroyed. Tens of thousands of lives were lost. We mourned our dead, memorialized the attack, and moved on. And then, only six months later, the second attack hit Manila.

Newscaster: [on TV] The acid factor of the Kaiju blood creates a toxic phenomenon known as Kaiju Blue

Raleigh Becket: Then the third one hit Cabo. And then the fourth. And then we learned this was not gonna stop. This was just the beginning. We needed a new weapon. The world came together, pooling it's resources and throwing aside old rivalries for the sake of the greater good. To fight monsters, we created monsters of our own. The Jaeger program was born.
