Schenley Park and fruit loop

The whole movie is full of elements of Pittsburgh! There are still many subtexts that have not lived in Pi Village. Most of the people who have lived in Pi Village still don't know, so they feel that it is necessary to make a mistake here.
In the film, Patrick and his boyfriend who was ashamed to come out were fighting in the cafeteria:
Patrick: Do you want your friends to know where you get those bruise?
bf: I got jumped in a parking lot.
Patrick: Where? In Schenley park ? Do you guys know about Schenley park?
After that, the atmosphere is very tense.
In another scene, Patrick took Charlie for a drive on Mount Washington and said I'm going to show you this fruit loop in Schenley park one day.

I was surprised when I saw these two places. I didn't expect the director/screenwriter to add such a local thing.
Schenley park is one of the largest parks in downtown Pittsburgh. There are many people who usually run and play ball. My boyfriend lives close to the park, and he often goes for a run in the park. He found that several cars were often parked somewhere in the park, and a group of suspicious men gathered. So he suspected that it was a local drug-trafficking place. Several other friends may have similar suspicions. One day we are going to do an urban economics class project to investigate the housing prices near Schenley Park. Everyone feels that this "drug trafficking location" may affect housing prices, so it is easy to check online or write a report. It turns out that it is not a place for drug trafficking, but a place for gays to gather for sex... The scientific name is "fruit loop": If anyone would make a trip to Prospect Drive on any sunny weekend day, you will find gay people sunbathing, picnicking, leaning against their cars, chatting with friends and acquaintances, walking their dogs and playing volleyball. I can imagine how surprised I am to see such a thing shaken out in this youth movie.

In addition, the tunnels they drive in are all tunnels I am familiar with, and I can clearly see familiar places such as "to Strip District" on the sign at the exit of the tunnel.

Thanks to the director.
