"007: The Fall of Murder" has been released in Hong Kong for ten days, but Bond’s appeal has not diminished at all, even in the morning movies , The attendance rate is still 80 to 90%. The ratio of young people to middle-aged people in the audience is almost 1:1, so it seems that Bond has never been out of date.
In general, the film uses five narrative paragraphs to discuss the issue of "identity." "Death from Heaven" broke the "old myth" about heroes and restored Bond, M, and MI6 to ordinary people. They had to face the crisis of declining physical fitness, being "retired", and even being abolished. There is a sad atmosphere of "heroes twilight". However, the film proved one thing through Bond: the so-called "old man has a great ambition", as long as he has an ambition and is expected by the world, even a strong man can be reborn in his twilight years.
Now let us sort out the five narrative passages of the movie.
1. The prologue
movie begins with a chase scene that makes the audience hold their breath, showing off Bond's driving skills and skills in twenty minutes. It's a pity that the "hero is late", Bond has been unable to take down the enemy. The director M, who was worried about the leak of the undercover list, ordered the shot, but he hit Bond. The prologue ended with Bond falling from the mountain bridge.
This paragraph actually laid a foreshadowing: M's "relentlessness" to the agents, or perhaps, the "relentlessness" of M's customization to the agents. And this kind of ruthlessness created a twisted "fallen angel", that is, the villain Silva in the movie, an excellent agent of the former MI6.
2. From London to Shanghai
, MI6 was in trouble. When M was in danger, the "resurrected" Bond returned to M in time. Seeing Bond doing various resumption tests panting, it goes without saying that his physical fitness has long since been different from what it used to be. However, M concealed his failing test results for him only because of her trust in him: "As long as he (Bond) says it's okay, then she must be okay." Bond brought the newcomer Curly Q to him. His equipment came to Shanghai, his agile skills and calm mind made up for the attenuation of his physical strength, and finally completed the task and got new clues.
3. From Macau to the isolated island
The fight in the casino is more or less to show Bond’s “return of state”. The phrase “circle of life” not only refers to “the weak and the strong”, but also represents the “unending” small universe reignited in his body. The villain Silva appeared, dressed in white, in sharp contrast with Bond's black clothes. After Silva told the story of a "rat survivor", he asked Bond to destroy M by his side. At a critical juncture, Bond instantly knocked down all of Silva's followers, used Q's radio to call for reinforcements, and captured Silva alive.
4.
Silva, who was imprisoned from MI6 to Skyfall , saw M and explained why he thought M was guilty: Back then, as an agent, he was taken prisoner, and then he received it for five months to survive without death. The abuse, finally crushed the poison embedded in the gums to die. Then he miraculously survived, but his face was severely disfigured. Later, he learned that the person who "selled" him was the person who trained him personally, the agent's mother, M. Like Lucifer, who did not want to kneel to Jehovah and "falls to heaven," Silva, a once outstanding agent, became a member of the "fallen angels" with hatred for M, and stood on the opposite side of MI6. Then Silva fled, Q realized that he had made a mistake in his judgment. Silva was willing to be caught by himself in the net, with the goal of getting close to the killer under M. Bond rushed to rescue M at the first time, and brought M to his home, the real "Skyfall" hunting ground manor, where he planned to end this "bad relationship".
5.
Due to the lack of equipment in the final battle , Bond, the old guard and M played the skills of "Home Alone" together in the manor with traps. After the first wave of pawns was eliminated, Silva appeared in a helicopter. M was wounded and ran away with the old guard first, but Silva found him following. Bond fled after blowing up the manor, and finally arrived at the last minute. The flying knife solved Silva who had almost died with M. In the end, M passed away due to severe injuries, and her departure in exchange for the complete return of Bond and the continued existence of MI6. The movie ended abruptly when the new M issued an order to Bond. As the retro-style 007 series 50th anniversary logo faded away, the movie came to an end, and what remained in my mind was the short one on the LOGO. A statement: Bond will come back, see you next time.
The five narrative paragraphs are very closely connected, interlocking, without a redundant plot or scene. The narrative rhythm is relaxed and retractable, coupled with the almost perfect soundtrack and the theme song from Adele, it brings a great audio-visual experience to the audience. To a certain extent, "Death from Heaven" is one of the 007 series, but also separate from the series. In fact, it can be completely independent. "Death from Heaven" has more "popularity" and less "cheesy": The agent is no longer a godlike existence, but one of ordinary people with various crises like you and me. Bond’s fiftieth anniversary "identity" was constructed by four people together: Silva (opposition between good and evil), Curly Q (opposition between old and new), M mother (old era), and new M (new era) . Times are changing, time is flying, and the "myth of immortality" on the screen walks off the altar and becomes a flesh and blood person; after the collision of the new and the old, the two have reached a state of symbiosis and co-prosperity; finally, the old era In the past, a new era opened, and the story of the agent will begin a new chapter in the next fifty years.
Finally, I have to talk about the old Director M alone. She is a woman who is too courageous. This courage can remove all obstacles for her and become beyond the reach of others. On the other hand, she is suffering because she is constantly sending her "children" to death, and she can do nothing when the responsibility lies with the military order. So when she faced Silva, she couldn't call his name, she could only walk away decisively as usual. Thinking back to her remarks at the hearing and her last words, I just want to feel that this woman has endured too much, but fortunately, she has always been accompanied by 007.
As for Silva, "Fallen Angels" and 007 had a Lucifer and Raphael-like friendship conversation with 007. In fact, he was the only Bond girl in this episode. He was a victim of the system, and in the end the system he wanted to destroy was strengthened in another form because of his actions, which made this role even sadder.
And the new M is our dear Lord Voldemort, will you build MI6 like a Death Eater? let us wait and see.
