If the world we produce develops linearly like a straight line, in this linear world, there will be a straight-line primordial world, or the primordial universe. In the straight-line life of life, at every node of life, there are actually many possibilities for development, and our state of production is just one of them. If at a certain node, we make a difference. Therefore, the whole life will be completely different. This is the logic of the butterfly effect. If the world develops two different life possibilities from the node we choose, and assuming that these two states exist at the same time, and each person can only choose one of them to survive, then the two Two completely different choices will never overlap, resulting in two or more completely different states of life. Each of these different states has a cosmology. When these different cosmologies are combined, they are different. Parallel universe. From the linear universe to the parallel universe, if you jump out of these parallel universes to take care of them, then you will have a fourth-dimensional perspective, because life in each parallel universe is a three-dimensional life. This kind of overlook or onlooker perspective can only be the fourth-dimensional perspective. Looking at the different parallel universes from a four-dimensional perspective, if at a certain node, a certain linear time axis is disordered, so that the world no longer presents a state of linear development, and this disorder will let it be. The world deviates from the linear state, and an offline universe emerges. Because of its own tilt, this offline universe will interfere with the development of the universe, which is still in linear development, resulting in greater confusion. And because the time axis of the offline universe has a fixed interval, the offline universe will continue to repeat or die at the end of its time axis, leading to the destruction of the offline universe. Since the offline universe and the original universe are logically continuous, when the offline universe is destroyed, the original universe will be destroyed at the same time.
I have compiled the logic in the last paragraph. I don't know if it will bring people around. Because it mentioned the original universe, parallel universe and offline universe, as well as concepts such as the butterfly effect, and four-dimensional space. If too many concepts cannot be accepted in a short time, confusion will occur.
The stories and principles told in "Death Illusion" are roughly just a few paragraphs of things and principles. What happened in the parallel universe was due to the creation of the offline universe, so the plane crash that happened 28 days later in the original universe directly affected the life of a boy 28 days ago. Because in different universes, because of the time axis, the plane crash is going to happen, but it will happen 28 days later. But the creation of the offline universe changed both the offline universe and the original universe. In the original universe, the boy’s mother and younger sister will be on board the plane where the disaster occurred. In other words, if there is no accident, in this boy's family, after 28 days, his mother and sister will suffer the disaster of a plane crash. The unexpected engine evoked a series of reactions, and the effect was on the boy's body, urging him to investigate what happened. The iron rabbit comes from four-dimensional space, because it really knows what is going on with this engine. Its guidance will make the boy walk into the truth a little bit, and in order to make up for the chaos caused by the offline universe, and to save his mother. And his sister, he can only make sacrifices, let himself come forward, sacrifice himself, and change things in the original world.
This is everything the whole "Death Illusion" is going to tell. From the lens, the film still looks a little immature and a little rough. But considering that the director is only a 26-year-old, it is worthy of admiration. At the age of less than 20, it is indeed very noticeable to play such a confusing story. It also made "Death Illusion" one of the cult films, which attracted many interpretations.
It is a pity that Richard Kelly, a genius director, has no other works that can be produced after the filming of this film. His subsequent "Southern Legend" and "Killing Treasure Box" are all in vain. The film of the table, as a result of the mystery, was quickly abandoned by the audience. Although Kelly is only 38 years old so far, there is still time to make a good film, but whether he will be given another opportunity has become a question. As a director, I made a good beginning, but there is no end. The climax ends before it starts. This is a pity. What's more, "Death Illusion" is a kind of whimsical idea full of genius.
