Xiang Wanyi is unwell

Xiang Wanyi feels uncomfortable, and there is no car to become the old one. So I had to look for more enjoyable movies on the computer, but I found Quentin’s Kill Bill, an action movie that tells revenge stories, which I downloaded previously. Needless to say, it must be very enjoyable, so I gladly opened it and watched it.

Uma Thurman is already like a withered flower. It is quite suitable to play a female swordsman who has suffered. Moreover, she has a strong body, beautiful and powerful movements. One of the targets of revenge, Alian, this Japanese role is played by a Chinese actor as usual (Huh? Why should I say "as usual"?). I used to have a mediocre impression of Lucy Liu, but I did not expect her to act so brilliantly, with a cold expression, standing in a snowy Japanese courtyard in a snow-white kimono, more like Uma wearing a blood-splattered Bruce Lee martial arts uniform. A revenge angel.

Although the first KILL BILL made the main characters appear for a walk, the main characters are undoubtedly Uma and Alian. This is a story about revenge. A revenge story is followed by a revenge story, but it is different from the eternal topic in Chinese martial arts, "When is the retaliation?" The killing and revenge that killed Billy didn't seem to have Chinese-style fate and sadness, but a layer of violence to solve everything. And the name of the movie seems to reveal this theme to people. The expression about the killing is straightforward and heartily, even the eight letters seem to have the shadow of a sword.

Quentin is said to be a super fan of Hong Kong martial arts films and Japanese comics. It is natural to make such a movie with a little tribute. But tribute to tribute, Asian audiences don’t have to treat it as an Asian-style action movie because of this, otherwise...just like me, there will be great discomfort...

when there is a painful gasp in the dark When you gradually draw out the bloody bride who fell on the ground, you will find that as the heroine, she can't help being too embarrassed, and then BILL's gunshots set the cold and ruthless tone of the whole film.

Then, skip to the first revenge unit, which is the second action in terms of time. In addition to playing tricks, he also understood the center of revenge-"dead daughter" early. A living mother and a dead daughter, and a pair of dead mothers and a living daughter. Is this the beginning of another revenge story? The real fight between two beauties, one black and one white, is very refreshing for the audience. Although it is fierce, it pays more attention to the beauty than the severed hands and feet that were later on the scene.

Then, the crisis-ridden hospital. The beautiful and ruthless killer, the mean and insignificant doctor, both kept two large accounts in Uma's tribulation book. Pave the way for revenge.

Then, the story of A-Lian. I remember watching my senior sister watching KILL BILL and asking her why there was a cartoon in the middle. She replied that it was too violent to be realistic! This opinion had a profound impact on me, but when I looked at it in full this time, I didn't think it was any more violent than the later duel Alian. I think Quentin still inevitably has the meaning of playing tricks and paying tribute to the Japanese comics. This not only closely links Alian's Japanese identity, but also expresses the feeling that real-life movies cannot be expressed naturally. For example, all kinds of vivid close-ups, slow motions, and exaggerated expressions on the faces of the characters, although they are still beautiful in nature, they are indeed quite the essence of the day, and the rendering of the scene is particularly contagious.

A-Lian is a miserable person in the traditional sense of Asia. The tragic death of her parents made her very eligible for revenge, and it is logical that she finally embarked on the path of a superb female assassin-both in martial arts novels and comics. However, the same person who was struggling, A-Lian did not show any sympathy for Uma who fell in a pool of blood. Compared to Uma Thurman, who loves her daughter, A-Lian is more like a paper man who has no emotions and specializes in murder. In the terminology of elementary school language, it means "the character is not full." However, Quentin was of course deliberate. Alian is the spokesperson and victim of violence against violence.

Then jump to visit the knife man. The dialogue between the blonde lady and the tavern owner is one of the most relaxing scenes in the film, and the style is also very day-to-day. Although the matter of making a sword is very sacred, but seeing Uma with a high nose and deep nose, wearing a white kimono, solemnly accepting a Japanese sword, she still feels very uncomfortable. It turns out that the old beauty is also passionate about adultery, and the whole world TM revolves around the United States.

Finally, the time to face off Alian finally came! If you have a strong psychological endurance and urgently need violent scenes to cool off, then this section is still very exciting. A-Lian’s Ma Tsai swarmed towards Uma, and then the scene was full of broken hands and feet, and various tragic ways of death. There was no lightness and romance that Asian action movies cherished. It was completely violence, violence, and violence! ! ! How to shoot violently! ! ! Of course, this is a difference in style, not a difference in level. The thought of using violence to control violence is displayed in the most intuitive and thorough way. The so-called lightness and romance may be pale in front of this.

The scene of A-Lian walking slowly into a Japanese garden holding a Japanese sword is very beautiful, but the appearance of Uma, who is in a bloody and embarrassed body, immediately broke this dreamlike beauty. On one side is the Asian-style mysterious coldness represented by A-Lian, and on the other side is the American-style destructive violence represented by Uma. Is this a duel between evil and justice? It's a little bit interesting, but not quite. Is this a duel of two cultures? It's a bit hypocritical to say so. But one thing is very clear is that I have a strong feeling of "unmatched" in my heart. This American film with Asian skins has learned about Asian culture without getting into the essence. A true swordsman and knight should "kill a person in ten steps, do not stay for a thousand miles, leave his clothes behind, and hide himself and his name". Killing for revenge is too entangled, heavy, and utilitarian. This heavy confrontation can only be heavy and violent, not light and romantic. ...Of course, this is just a difference in style...

What Thurman, Fox and Liu accomplish here is arguablly more difficult than playing the nuanced heroine of a Sundance thumb-sucker. There must be presence, physical grace, strength, personality and the ability to look serious while doing ridiculous things.
