secondly, the picture is really excellent and the connotation is really rich.
But I still have to scream. I don’t know if it’s because of the blind editing of the commercial version or Ridley’s regretful failure to control it. In the end, I might have to watch the director’s cut version; as far as the public version is concerned, I don’t think it’s anything. Speaking thoroughly, the story always makes people feel that the story is very blunt, and it is a hurdle that cannot be avoided.
Like one: The beginning of the movie is a mural found in Scotland 30,000 years ago, and the protagonist's explanation is that this is a call and an invitation to us. However, the aliens originally intended to destroy the human beings on the earth, and it would not be enough to come directly to destroy them. Why do they need to go around such a big circle? And apart from the engineer who was the ancestor, the movie did not show that the engineer had a continuous visit to the earth and played a "Prometheus" general role in promoting the evolution of human civilization;
like two: Fassbender played Homo sapiens was originally created to help the goddess Theron’s father realize his dream of longevity during this expedition. From this point of view, his reason for poisoning the male protagonist is a bit far-fetched. Is it because of envy from the envy of human life, or is it out of a psychology of life experiment? The film neither develops the emotional line on the first possibility, nor does it clearly mention the second point;
such as three: the biochemical weapons created by engineers, why are so many forms developed in this episode, snake-like, octopus, and finally Alien? Is it because of the advantages of this kind of biochemical weapon that can absorb DNA from different hosts?
There are many others. For example, what I haven’t wanted to understand is why the DNA of humans and engineers are so closely aligned. Didn’t the earliest engineers who drank the poison only have some DNA fragments flowing into the evolutionary chain of the earth? It may be that the story is too big to be understood in just over two hours.
