Due to the success of "Batman 2 The God of the Night" (hereinafter referred to as TDK), many people have ignored the first episode of "The Mystery of the Shadows" (hereinafter referred to as BEGINS). The dead actor Heath Ledger contributed a lot, and perhaps more people paid too much attention to him. For me, BEGINS is even more shocking. The reason is that as the beginning of the road to the great heroic poem, BEGINS not only tells the origin of Batman, but also has the direction of Lu Lan's future production of INCEPTION in the film (BEGINS is in 2005, INCEPTION is 10 years). Technically, editing, cutscenes and scheduling are all similar to it, and the theme of the film is also similar-finding the way to salvation.
Lu Lan cleverly set Batman to be more humane and closer to the ordinary people of the public, and why he became Batman? In this process, Lu Lan constantly used the classic time-space editing method to continuously intersect the past and the present. The technique is very enjoyable and quite reasonable. Lu Lan is also very personal in the shaping of the character and the depiction of emotions. Batman's loneliness is more humane and pitiful under Lu Lan's depiction, which is a very moving position in the film. What impressed me most in the film was the opening scene where BALE was in Tibet (the film did not explain it, but it should be) and the shadow warrior special training. I really admire Lu Lan for linking the two. Needless to say, political metaphors, and finding LIAN NEESON, who once played the black warrior master in "STAR WAR Prequel", to play the leader and master of the shadow warrior is definitely a magical touch! The scene of the two training is suspected of STAR WAR. (It seems that Lulan is also a fan of Star Wars~)
I was originally disappointed with the old Batman series, and I regained my feelings for Batman in the Lulan version of the new Batman. This is also based on Lulan's directing skills and the personal charm of Keston Bill's performance. Lulan's version of the new Batman has a more DARK SIDE side, and also a more pitiful and human side. He showed in BEGINS how Batman overcomes the problem of fear in his heart. This is also the key to the opening of the new Batman. One question, this made a perfect start for the next two parts.
