You are not batman anymore

Although this one is indeed inferior to the Dark Knight, it must be decisively rated as a five-star recommendation because of preference. When the film ended and The Dark Knight Rises was played on the screen, there was a round of applause.

If Tim Burton pioneered Batman's dark system, then Nolan has truly penetrated into the darkest side of Batman's soul. Yes, Burton's film is full of strong black gothic style, but the focus is to portray the corruption of Gotham City and the evil of the villain. But the description of Batman itself only stays on the surface, and more is praising the great achievements of the emperor of Gotham. Nolan, restored a man of flesh and blood, a real soul who insists on justice, not a hero like a god.

In addition to Batman, Nolan has also deepened the characterization of Alfred's character in the trilogy. In the previous film and television works, he was only Bruce Wayne's heartfelt butler, but this time, compared with this wise butler, Batman is just a passionate man named Bruce Wayne, a little reckless, a little bit dead. Michael Caine contributed a lot. Under his interpretation, Alfred was also a father and friend, occupying an indispensable position in Bruce's life.

In TDK, this kind and alert butler can see through the clown's intentions, but the Batman classmates realized the true meaning at the end. It was the housekeeper who concealed Rachel's final choice and gave Bruce a good faith. And this time, Alfred’s wish is: Batman disappears forever. He missed the crying little boy who was born in the Wayne family, and he missed the young master Bruce who was not blinded by hatred.

I can take care of everything for you, but I don't want to bury you myself. I have buried too many members of the Wayne family. Bruce Wayne is good for this city. Rich and powerful can do good without paying the price of life. Let him go with the wind when he is a hero. I hope you have never come back to Gotham City. All that is waiting for you in this city is a lot of pain and tragedy.

Some people may say that the butler is too selfish, but Nolan's Batman himself is a little bit hard.
1. Don't tell me when my childhood friend died, she chose someone else before she died, leaving him with a lie that "We can be together when Gotham City no longer needs Batman".
2. Obviously adhered to the moral bottom line to punish the criminal, but had to run away with all the ugly charges and let the so-called justice pursue it.
3. Use a scarred and fleshy body to fight various morbid criminals, not only almost lost a little life at once.
Then, the only wish of this lovely Alfred was to give his Master Bruce a happy future. There is an artistic conception of "If you are well, it will be sunny".

There was a feeling of sadness when I saw that it was about to end. The last time I saw this sadness was when I watched "Ha 7 Next". Now and in the future, Batman will definitely appear in various forms, but the Batman who belongs to nolan really travels to Florence like Bruce Wayne.

"If you can surpass yourself, you will be more than a person, but an idea." So at the end, the citizens of Gotham City will usher in a new Batman. This may provide a new story for Hollywood, but I know he will no longer be the one in my heart.

The Dark Knight Rises quotes

  • Alfred: [to Bruce] Remember when you left Gotham? Before all this, before Batman? You were gone seven years. Seven years I waited, hoping that you wouldn't come back. Every year, I took a holiday. I went to Florence, there's this cafe, on the banks of the Arno. Every fine evening, I'd sit there and order a Fernet Branca. I had this fantasy, that I would look across the tables and I'd see you there, with a wife and maybe a couple of kids. You wouldn't say anything to me, nor me to you. But we'd both know that you'd made it, that you were happy. I never wanted you to come back to Gotham. I always knew there was nothing here for you, except pain and tragedy. And I wanted something more for you than that. I still do.

  • Alfred: [about Selina Kyle] You two should exchange notes over coffee.

Bruce Wayne: So now you're trying to set me up with a jewel thief?

Alfred: At this point, I'd set you up with a chimpanzee if it'd brought you back to the world!

Bruce Wayne: There's nothing out there for me.

Alfred: And that's the problem. You hung up your cape and your cowl, but you didn't move on, you never went to find a life, to find someone...

Bruce Wayne: Alfred... I did find someone.

Alfred: I know, and you lost her. But that's all part of living, sir. But you're not living. You're just waiting, hoping for things to go bad again.
