Although it is a movie about fighting, like other movies of this kind, in order to make the characters full, there must be no lack of shots of the characters' background and reality. This movie is excellent in this respect, and the love between father and son and brotherhood can deeply touch people's hearts.
The younger brother is the most entangled character. He is like a helpless wild child. Unexpectedly, when he escaped, he saved people and made him a civilian hero. It's a pity that the deserter incident was revealed, and when he was finally off the ring, it was not the beauty but the military police who waited for him. His participation in the World Fighting Competition is more like revenge for life. Although there is a reason to raise living expenses for the widow of his comrades-in-arms, it is a pity that this excuse is too far-fetched. Every time he knocked someone down to the ground, he immediately rushed off the ring without looking back, like a child full of anger. Every time he appears on the stage, he will reflect the reading version of Moby-Dick, which is very consistent with him in temperament. In addition to the image of a tough guy fighting the sea, in fact, the captain's unyielding and helplessness in the face of the sea is the most suitable for him.
The elder brother didn't have any feelings for his father because he was with him. There was a dislike for his alcoholism and even jealousy for his father's preference for his younger brother. Compared to his younger brother, he seems to be more fortunate, with a wife who understands his own, lovely children, and a decent job. It is a pity that his daughter's illness dragged him down, so he had to participate in the World Fighting Competition to save the family from bankruptcy. In fact, you can probably guess that the screenwriter will win the elder brother. Although the younger brother is more invincible, from the mainstream point of view, taking care of the family is always the first place, and bad children can only play a sad role. Mozart also confirmed this with his brother's appearance. He was closer to a normal person, but on the contrary, his brother was more like it.
His father's tragedy was caused by him, and it was too late to make up for it afterwards. Although the younger son asked him to be his own coach, he must not mention anything about the previous events, and would insult him from time to time; the elder son would not even let his daughter approach him, and his attitude towards him was the same. Never forgive. But when I saw my father, who had been abstaining for three years, drinking wine in pain and poured it into his younger son's arms, I believe that not only the audience, but the younger son will also forgive him. Finally rushed to the arena to see his two biological sons fighting each other, I don't know if he is relieved or sad. He is like the exhausted captain in the novel "White Whale" that he listens to every day, fighting against the waves of indescribable life time and time again, being beaten back into the sea again and again, but the imaginary white whale is nowhere to be seen.
In action movies, the action scenes are naturally not sloppy. The action shots in this movie are the best I have seen in recent years. Most people think that in order to express the sense of realism, the first angle of view should be the most enjoyable with a handheld lens, but the whole movie is kept to the utmost restraint at all times, and there are almost no first angle shots on the court. Almost all the shots stayed calmly outside the fence. The only shot in the shooting field was the semifinal between my brother and the most powerful Russian player. Because there were no shots directly showing melee on the court before, this fight seemed to be extremely exciting, with punches to the flesh, sharp needles, blood vessels swelling, and adrenaline surges. Of course, this is not to say that other lenses are not shocking. The lens outside the fence may not seem like a good idea. In fact, this is the highlight of the movie. The angle of view of the lens is not the fighter himself, but the audience. That is to say, in the off-site commentary with constant rapid cutting, shaking the camera and the narrator chattering, the people who unknowingly watch the movie have become the best off-site. VIPs, VIPs on the sidelines can only see one side, but the audience sees it three-dimensionally. In the last few fights, my palms were sweating, and I was hooked. The visual tricks of directors and photography are really popular. I applaud them here. Of course, only "Angry Bull" can make boxing shots artistic and can be called great. There is no one. But this film has a different lens and perspective that "Angry Bull" does not have.
So forget the sweetness of freshness, fashion blockbusters and love for the time being, let's have a real man's showdown, let's fight!
