Martin Scorsese is definitely a director with sufficient directing ability. He chose the Hong Kong movie "Infernal Affairs" to remake. I think many fans will look forward to seeing the new ideas emerging from Martin Scorsese's lens. But I almost didn't see any superfluous new ideas in "Infernal Affairs", I just saw Scorsese's blunt move of "Infernal Affairs" to such a movie as "Infernal Affairs". Misunderstanding whether "Infernal Affairs" is a Hong Kong or Japanese movie has nothing to criticize, but the lack of soul of "Infernal Affairs" makes people feel chilling. Western culture is accustomed to injecting more dramatic drama into the role relationship between police and criminals, but doing so will keep the original taste of the story, while the role of such as a psychologist is like a tasteless and out of the story. In "Infernal Affairs", the relationship between the police and the criminal is more like a real relationship between people. Without the coat of the police and the criminal, these are just two people who want identity and survival. In "Infernal Affairs", the exquisite psychological depiction is replaced by a series of plot climaxes with a strong sense of speed. If "Infernal Affairs" is a tragedy undercover to interpret Buddhism or the misery of life. If it is a reincarnation movie, then "Infernal Affairs" is a standard "how to use a set of gorgeous skills to tell a story" film shooting skills show.
