Oriental delicacy and western block

Martin Scorsese is definitely a director with sufficient directing ability. He chose the Hong Kong movie "Infernal Affairs" to remake. I think many fans will look forward to seeing the new ideas emerging from Martin Scorsese's lens. But I almost didn't see any superfluous new ideas in "Infernal Affairs", I just saw Scorsese's blunt move of "Infernal Affairs" to such a movie as "Infernal Affairs". Misunderstanding whether "Infernal Affairs" is a Hong Kong or Japanese movie has nothing to criticize, but the lack of soul of "Infernal Affairs" makes people feel chilling. Western culture is accustomed to injecting more dramatic drama into the role relationship between police and criminals, but doing so will keep the original taste of the story, while the role of such as a psychologist is like a tasteless and out of the story. In "Infernal Affairs", the relationship between the police and the criminal is more like a real relationship between people. Without the coat of the police and the criminal, these are just two people who want identity and survival. In "Infernal Affairs", the exquisite psychological depiction is replaced by a series of plot climaxes with a strong sense of speed. If "Infernal Affairs" is a tragedy undercover to interpret Buddhism or the misery of life. If it is a reincarnation movie, then "Infernal Affairs" is a standard "how to use a set of gorgeous skills to tell a story" film shooting skills show.

The performance of the male lead male pair is very eye-catching-Nicholson has just realized in Flying Over the Mad Asylum two days ago that his hairstyle is still so unruly. But... this... copy homework... you have to take the initiative to change it consciously and dexterously...-. -

This is not a typical remake, this is a giant that Martin created after leaving a rib. This is Martin's best gangster movie. Excluding the excessive love and religion of the original version, this is the most realistic sociology. Don’t entangle the poetry and fate of the Hong Kong version. Martin compiled not only fate but also life under the dark night of Boston. This is the perfect balance of Martin’s personal characteristics and commercial factors. This is The Departed

The Departed quotes

  • Billy Costigan: [to Frank Costello in Frank's bar] You accuse me once, I put up with it. You accuse me twice... I quit. You pressure me to fear for my life and I will put a fucking bullet in your head as if you were anybody else. Okay?

[Frank drops something. He reaches under the table and pulls up a gun. He looks at it as if he's never seen it before and then points it at Billy]

Frank Costello: You got something you wanna... ask me?

  • Colin Sullivan: [to Barrigan] You got a nice suit at home or do you like coming to work everyday dressed like you're goin' to invade Poland?
