Story and reality

I plan to go and read it again, and write a few less first.

1. After
watching the film, one of the biggest questions about this series arises, that is, why does X-Men become popular?

In February this year, Hua Tsai and Gong Li had a new film released, adapted from the titled Mel Gibson starring Mel Gibson more than ten years agomovie of. The original storyline can be told in one sentence. The male protagonist acquires the special function of listening to women's voices due to accidental electric shock, which leads to a love story with the female boss.

After watching X-Men and thinking about it again, I think the shot of What women want is actually very good. In the beginning, the male protagonist was able to approach the female protagonist because of the so-called mind-reading technique, develop feelings, and understand each other; however, at the end, by chance, he returned to normal again by chance. But after such an experience, he has been able to understand what women think in their hearts. , And therefore eventually formed a good relationship.

But note that even though he was different from ordinary people at first, he returned to normal in the end. The reason, I think it is actually very simple. Who can accept their friends, needless to say they are lovers, can actually read the thoughts in their minds?

2.
Unlike Mel Gibson's film, the setting of X-Men itself is a science fiction rather than a realistic background. Mutants and homo sapiens coexist, but the former is not known by the latter. Comic authors or directors themselves can easily lead the likes and dislikes of most readers and audiences. The mutants of Prof.X are not understood by humans, but they still have a kind heart, yearning for peace, and of course be loved by the masses; Shaw led The mutants were bent on provoking war and wanted to conquer mankind and rule the world, so they were opposed by the masses.

It's intuitive, but it also illustrates a lot of problems.

Most fundamentally, who will determine the moral yardstick for measuring mutants? Not by itself, but by homo sapiens, human beings. Why Prof.X is loved by others? My personal view is that although he understands the hatred and fear that humans have towards themselves, he still tries to resolve them in a peaceful way and be kind to humans. On the other hand, Shaw is dedicated to leading the rise of mutants.

In this way, it is obvious who is the enemy and friend. The audience unconsciously stood from the perspective of Prof.X, trying to stop Shaw, and felt sorry for humans not being able to understand such a kind and wise character as Prof.X, and even sorrowed.

But, having said that, if Prof.X is by our side, wouldn't we fear or even escape?

3.
The reason why Mel Gibson's screenwriter finally returned to normal is probably because the film is in the real world. After a lesson, it is enough to know how to understand his girlfriend. Edward, the hero of the Twilight series with a bit of fantasy color, is different. Everyone can know what he thinks, but he can't hear what the heroine Bella thinks in his head.

I have to, I heard it all, and even the most interesting story will turn to boiled water in a flash, dull and tasteless. In the movie, Erik asked Charles, how much do you know about me, I secretly smiled in my heart and specified everything about you. As expected, the latter smiled slightly, everything.

Put this in the movie, you should have friendship and friendship, and be touching. The scene is touching. Drama. But if it happened in real life, the first time I heard it, my whole body might be tingled with tears, but if I couldn't hold it for the third time, I would feel a little unbearable and want to turn around and flee.

Because no matter how extroverted people are, they need a secret space that they can’t live without even if they know that the sesame seeds are big.

Thinking about it this way, and looking back at Shaw and Erik's behavior in the future, I think it's not difficult to understand. To a certain extent, you still feel that Charles is too kind or even naive.

4.
So why is X-Men attractive? From the perspective of an audience who is completely ignorant of the original comics, I was completely overwhelmed by the whimsical idea. However, I was really curious about the reader psychology behind it. But one thing is certain, that is, this is a story after all, that is, it does not happen in reality.

Some stories make people fascinated, take a broom and ride a dragon flying all over the sky, which is more enjoyable and more powerful. However, some stories are best to only exist in the imagination. The viewer, like me, unconsciously sighs the creator's ingenuity while watching it, and even feels that I feel sacred in my heart because I am in a research field related to brain science.

However, at certain moments in the movie, and after the end of the watch, I have to say that there is indeed a wave of restlessness in my heart. This is probably the fear that the United States and the Soviet Union faced the mutants group and the war itself at the end of the film.

The clues that allude to the gay rights movement continue to be used. Just as a politically correct movie, the existence of [sex/racial discrimination] makes me a little disappointed. It is still an excellent political and commercial film. I've been spoiled so much, I can already see the basic emotions level up, why is the emotions so dreadful, %>_<%, the basic friends are the saddest thing, so what, what is the wrong thing? !

X-Men: First Class quotes

  • Professor Charles Xavier: You know, I believe that true focus lies somewhere between rage and serenity. Would you mind if I...

[Charles makes a gesture to request permission to read Erik's mind]

Erik Lehnsherr: [Erik signals approval and while Charles reads Erik minds. We see moments of Erik's childhood with his mother] What did you just do to me?

    [Both Erik and Charles cries]

Professor Charles Xavier: I accessed the brightest corner of your memory system. It's a very beautiful memory, Erik. Thank you.

Erik Lehnsherr: I didn't know I still had that.

Professor Charles Xavier: There is so much more to you than you know. Not just pain and anger. There is good, too. I felt it. When you can access all of that, you will possess a power no one can match. Not even me.

  • Professor Charles Xavier: Shaw's declared war on mankind on all of us, he has to be stopped.

Erik Lehnsherr: I am not gonna stop Shaw, I am gonna kill him. Do you have it in you to allow that?

[Erik pauses while Charles shifts in his chair uneasy]

Erik Lehnsherr: You known all along why I was here Charles, but things have changed. What started as a covert of mission, tomorrow mankind will know mutants exist. Shaw, us, they won't differentiate. They'll fear us. And that fear will turn to hatred.

Professor Charles Xavier: Not if we stop a war, not if we can prevent Shaw, not if we risk our lives doing so.

Erik Lehnsherr: Would they do the same for us?

Professor Charles Xavier: We have it in us to be the better man.

Erik Lehnsherr: We already are! We are the next stage of human evolution, you said it yourself...

Professor Charles Xavier: [cuts in] No, no...

Erik Lehnsherr: Are you really so naive as to think that they won't battle their own extinction? Or is it arrogance?

Professor Charles Xavier: [looks at Erik in disagreement] I am sorry.

Erik Lehnsherr: After tomorrow, they are gonna turn on us. But you are blinded because you believe they are all like Moira.

Professor Charles Xavier: And you believe they are all like Shaw.

    [leans forward]

Professor Charles Xavier: Listen to me very carefully, my friend: killing Shaw will not bring you peace.

Erik Lehnsherr: Peace was never an option.
