Looking at the name of the movie, do you think this is a hot-blooded police movie? After watching it for a long time, you find that it has not been able to lively and live ammunition. It is a little disappointed? But at the same time, you feel that looking at the big round head Simon Peggy, despite all sorts of sad things, is still full of laughter (seeing other people's bad luck, we laughed and seemed very unkind). So you changed your expectations, and you watched it again.
From the beginning of the film, the action is clean and neat, the highly professional Angel Police Officer (played by Peggy), who is well-trained to complete various duties and hunts. The protagonist of the dazzling personal heroism was dragged into the office by his boss for a single chat in a blink of an eye. Said it was a promotion, in fact, he was sent to the country to avoid stealing the limelight because of his sharp edge. Since then, the film has started a series of mockery and irony about the not-so-bright truth in reality. Later, this sense of absurdity and disharmony intensified.
There is a saying called "the heavenly jealous talent." In fact, it is not only God who is jealous. The angel police officer’s boss, the boss’s boss, the boss’s boss’ boss, they all use the same words to send him away, even his colleagues are looking forward to it. He left early. The only thing he did wrong was to be too capable, so he put too much pressure on the people around him.

So a super police detective who was out of place with his surroundings took his plastic flower (he called it: Japanese white crane yam) to the town that was rated as the best: the village of Shafford. There hasn't been a single murder case there in twenty years.
Police Officer Angel had just arrived in the small town and came to the Swan Hotel to stay, but was attacked by the proprietress's cold humor. Of course, he was well versed in British humor, and unwilling to show weakness, he kept the proprietress silent with the same technique. On the one hand, this passage is a display of British humor. On the other hand, it also shows that even here, the angel police officer is not welcome. This hostile confrontation has been determined from the beginning.
The hilarious lines may be another feature of British movies. From the superb performances of the actors, or the gloomy rainy castle environment contrasted with the street signs (civilized village), you can feel a kind of crossing or magical atmosphere. Set the tone of the film: surreal. And this kind of surrealism became more obvious when the truth came out later.
After entering the town, Police Officer Angel saw a group of more personalized people, each of whom had different temperaments, but insisted that nothing would happen in this town. Sergeant Angel is partnered with Danny, the son of the chief of the police station. Ironically, the night before Sergeant Angel was officially employed, he had just taken Danny into the bureau for drunk driving.
It seemed that they were a pair of partners who couldn't communicate and cooperate anyway, but they became more and more harmonious in the later joint hands. This kind of harmony seems to transcend friendship, but let's call this kind of emotion "the sublimation of friendship" for the time being.
After Police Officer Angel came to the town, several fatal and vicious incidents occurred in the town. But they were all classified as accidents. Officer Angel was very skeptical of this result. This suspicion obviously caused dissatisfaction among other police officers. So Officer Angel started a one-person investigation. In the process, Danny taught Officer Angel to feel the beauty of friendship outside of work. He relaxed and went to drink with Danny, and finally slept together at night. This increase in emotional concentration laid the groundwork for Danny to betray his father and allow Officer Angel to flee, and finally to defend justice with Officer Angel and fight with his father (this situation can only be seen in surrealist movies) occur).
As the facts were gradually revealed, we saw more and more bizarre truths. For reasons that could not be justified at all, they killed a lot of people. In the end, including the angel police officers, they also wanted to kill. They are ordinary, kind-hearted town residents on weekdays, but in order to maintain the reputation of the best town, layers of bones have been built in the sewers.
The single-handed angel police officer, riding a white horse, carrying two long spears, wearing sunglasses, and holding a toothpick in his mouth, he was playing cool to a certain level, and then, overwhelmingly, attracted the police, and completely subverted, just like the previous barriers. None of them exist.
Seeing the old residents picking up guns, weapons, and plates to attack the angel police officer, all their hypocritical masks were torn off, and they suddenly felt that the world was so absurd, absurd and unreasonable. Seeing that Danny finally stopped struggling and joined the guardian of justice with loyalty, even though he felt that the existence of this reality was extremely small, he was still moved, and he was willing to believe that there was a beautiful existence in this world.
