That forgotten spoon-all the answers are here

Is Zion real? This is probably the most controversial aspect of The Matrix. In fact, the director has already given a hint-a twisted spoon.

The soup spoon only appears twice in the trilogy. The first time was when NEO went to see the Prophet in the first episode, a little monk bent the spoon with his mind. At this time, we all know that MATRIX is virtual, so we won't be surprised. However, this plot prompted NEO to further understand the nature of the virtual world and how to use the virtual nature to release superpowers.

The second time was in the second episode. NEO and the others left Zion to perform their mission. The guy who was possessed by the virus agent followed them and wanted to play a black hand. At this time, a NEO fan came over (that young man) and said that someone wanted to give it to NEO opened the cloth package with one thing, and inside was a twisted spoon. The plot passed quickly, and it was never explained. It was this soup spoon that touched NEO-someone had already acquired superpowers in this "real world" that could twist the soup spoon. This is equivalent to telling NEO, Zion, that everything that seems real around here is also virtual.

The soup spoon that first appeared was that the system was upgrading NEO according to the program. Yes, the Prophet program drives Morpheus, and Morpheus helps NEO's superman code to wake up. The emergence of this spoon is also the program that further upgrades NEO and releases its superpowers. Everything is a delicately developed program based on the laws of human cognition.

The soup spoon that appeared for the second time was quite interesting. One possibility is that someone inadvertently developed superpowers in Zion and felt confused, so he handed the miracle to the legendary savior for interpretation. There is another possibility that the Prophet program needs to further upgrade NEO and guide NEO to the truth in the world of Zion. Regardless of the possibility, this spoon sold Zion's virtual essence, and NEO gradually woke up in this world.

If it is said that in MATRIX, the machine needs NEO to wake up, NEO needs to obtain super powers in order to complete the cycle of being the savior. So in the world of Zion, NEO's awakening is a bit reluctant, and the ability he acquires is also uncertain. He can only feel and learn the characteristics of this new system while staggering. His abilities are not as arbitrary as in MATRIX. Because the rules of different systems may be completely different, and there is no one who has taken the first step to give guidance, it is impossible for someone to liberate his body in the real world.

Say something else.

What is the purpose of the machine to imprison mankind? Is it just considered a "battery"? But this is by no means all. Machines can definitely solve the energy problem, so "architects" say that machines can bear the cost of human demise. But as a new civilization born out of human civilization, what machine intelligence most wants is not "battery", but creativity. Everything in the 01 world is calculation and logic, so programs that lose their purpose and function will be hunted down and deleted. This is the instinct of the machine. In this way, it is impossible to establish a chaotic mechanism similar to the human brain to generate creativity. It can only follow and cannot evolve. Such a civilization is bound to decline. They also don't understand what love is. Some machine intelligence began to do research and exploration in this area, such as prophets. The Prophet is a purposeful high-privileged program, belonging to a machine life. She has self-awareness and new ideas. She deceived the heretics of human beings in cycles and led them to Zion to be eliminated. But then she was no longer satisfied, or the machine society gave her a new task: to find out the source of human creativity and to achieve a real upgrade in the machine world. She also tends to find a reasonable model for the coexistence of man and machine.

The prophet's plan was very radical. She made Trinity fall in love with NEO, so the prophet can predict even love, because Trinity is controlled by the prophet in the dual virtual world, she must fall in love with NEO. Their love is not spontaneous, but is the object of machine guidance, observation, and learning. Then, at the time when the savior was saving mankind, she let NEO choose between the destiny of his lover and the fate of mankind. She implanted the designed scenes into NEO's mind in the form of dreams to observe how NEO's subconscious is active. Dreams and reality are mixed together, which proves that Zion is as virtual as MATRIX. This is risky. It is possible that a harmonious society that eliminates bugs and patched bugs will be wiped out (Zion is a recycle bin for restless elements). Fortunately, she succeeded and got what she wanted. NEO put aside the fate of all mankind to save his lover because of love. This is incomprehensible to machines, but the machine successfully monitored the process of NEO's selection. It must be intuitionistic, chaotic, and impossible to explain with logic. In this process, the machine is learning, comprehending, and finally completed a major upgrade of civilization.

The "girl" in the third episode represents a new stage of machine civilization. She is a program, but an intelligent life, a self-conscious individual. Her appearance means that the machine civilization is about to undergo a huge upgrade-gaining love and creativity. Note that her appearance was after NEO gave up her mission. Robotic life evolved love, and they began to produce offspring-purposeless new programs, caring and creative. (The director seems to believe that love and creativity are essentially similar, illogical, and chaotic. They are the most lacking and most difficult to simulate in the 01 world.) So the third episode is called Revolution. Of course this is a revolution in the machine world and has nothing to do with human beings.

Let's talk about it.

Students who have watched the animation know that octopuses do exist in the human-computer war, so Zion is a simulation of the real physical world. Based on historical memory, it is difficult for humans to doubt this. But for machine life, the Zion world and the physical world are the same and real. They exist in the form of programs, and there is no difference between living in the projected world and in an external iron sheet. In MATRIX, there may not be many machine lives. In the world of Zion, there are many machine lives, and there is also a machine city. So once SMITH infects the world of Zion, the machine life will be wiped out. They imitate human images in the projection world. The engineer couple is an example. Agents, architects, prophets, etc. are also human images. The engineer couple is not the machine life in MATRIX, but the machine life in the world of Zion. In order to protect their daughter (a new program with no purpose), they smuggled into MATRIX through the secret back door of the train station and were protected by the prophet. The Frenchman was actually controlled by the prophet, walking the process over and over again, reluctant but helpless.

Morpheus is quite a general. In fact, he was selected by the prophet program to complete the task of awakening NEO, and also passed some oral messages. Like the French, he also belongs to the role of the process. Belongs to people who are prone to believe in and be fooled by machines. With both leadership qualities, he led the group all the way to the dark, and found that the ending was not right, and he was so confused. Fortunately, NEO is a master negotiator and saved him.

Not unfolding, there is too much to say. In 2011, I was still talking about the movies I watched in 1999, and I really have a personality.

The Matrix quotes

  • [Neo sees a black cat walk by them, and then a similar black cat walk by them just like the first one]

    Neo: Whoa. Déjà vu.

[Everyone freezes right in their tracks]

Trinity: What did you just say?

Neo: Nothing. Just had a little déjà vu.

    Trinity: What did you see?

    Cypher: What happened?

Neo: A black cat went past us, and then another that looked just like it.

Trinity: How much like it? Was it the same cat?

Neo: It might have been. I'm not sure.

    Morpheus: Switch! Apoc!

    Neo: What is it?

Trinity: A déjà vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something.

  • [on the war that devastated the Real World]

Morpheus: We don't know who struck first, us or them. But we do know it was us that scorched the sky. At the time, they were dependent on solar power. It was believed they would be unable to survive without an energy source as abundant as the sun.
