The part where Gelu blows up a balloon to the child is a bit imitated by Jim Carrey, but after that, it is really unexpected. A small detail reveals the gloom of the protagonist Gelu's heart, which also paves the way for the subsequent transfer. Obviously, this point is beyond comparison with the later imitator "Super Villain".
Those minions were designed to imitate Pixar's "Monsters Electric Company", but the two specially used minions were so funny, they took on three funny characters that Lori couldn't afford. Especially when I asked for a kiss at the end, it was really funny to have kissed again.
When Ge Lu was reading for children, he was also very creative. I don't know if he imitated it, but that section impressed me really deeply and it was so childlike. And in the end, Glu re-read his own experience to the children in the form of a book, as the end of the film, it also shows the intention of a sincere work.
The characters are successful, the plot is successful, and the creativity is OK. Of course, the rhythm of the whole plot is especially commendable. The magnificent turn of the villain has borrowed from DreamWorks' "Shrek" harlequin as the protagonist. Overall, this "Despicable Me" is definitely a success. The only regret is that a few children are really not so lovable, a little weird.
After watching it, my girlfriend kept asking me to look for movies like "Despicable Me" because this badass daddy was too cute, and when I discovered "Super Badass", I decided not to recommend it to her because of the gap. It's pretty obvious.
