Return of "Avatar" (no spoilers)

I haven't been to the premiere for a long time because I couldn't find a suitable film. I didn't brag about being picky, but because I didn't feel the curiosity needed.

The publicity of "Avatar" can be said to be overwhelming, but it is still not as strong as the publicity of one of our state-owned enterprises, but it is really worth looking forward to after ten years of sharpening the sword, especially the careful preparation since "Titanic".
A wrist-level director can personally conceive the world behind the story and write the language for "Avatar". This is enough gimmick, because I haven't seen it in domestic directors.

We don't lack stories, what we lack is the dedication.

Fifteen years ago, there was a similar story in China. Director Hou Xiaoxian recommended Inoue Yasushi's novel to Tian Zhuangzhuang. Tian Zhuangzhuang, who was rebellious in the five generations, waited for fifteen years. One of the reasons was that the domestic 3D technology could not meet his requirements. Although it is claimed to be filmed for people in the next century, the release of "Wolf's Disaster" explains everything-not only technology, but also a story.

As a traitor in the film special effects industry, I am well aware of the domestic technical level. It seems that Mr. Tian Zhuangzhuang cannot be blamed. After all, this is a deformed industry. It is an industry that cannot be measured by GDP. Unfortunately, this industry, like our processing industry, is a labor-intensive industry. After watching the 3D version of "Avatar", I am thankful that I left this hopeless industry early.

Open secrets are not terrible. What's terrible is that open secrets can't be told, and even if they don't believe it, they will be scorned.

"Avatar" will surely suck a large amount of RMB from China. In addition to making a difference in the exchange rate when they exchange back to US dollars, what else can we earn? One-sided praise, or reflection on domestic films?

Most of the former!

I am not a conscientious audience, because of the front row, I always feel uncomfortable with my eyes, but I have read a complete story, a story full of meaning. In fact, there is no need for a story that is earth-shattering. First of all, you must tell the story clearly, and what is your story? The most hypocritical word: universal values. Only by making this clear can more people accept it. Otherwise, even if the chest is squeezed out, it is just a palace drama that kills the father and seizes the throne.

After reading it, I was reflecting on it.

Please be cautious when watching "Avatar".

  • Jake Sully: [collector's extended cut] You want a fair deal? You're on the wrong planet. The strong prey on the weak, it's just the way things are. And nobody does a damned thing.

  • Corporal Lyle Wainfleet: [seeing Jake in a wheelchair] Aww, man, that is just wrong.
