Although I know that he himself is an avid fan of B-level films, I really don’t like the B-level films he made himself. In the past few years, I have the right to assume that he is playing his temper. I forgive me after watching this film. I lost him, and I was convinced again!
What I love most about Quentin all the time is that he can't help mentioning his favorite directors and movies in many lines. No matter what the theme of the whole film, this is really difficult only for people who have been crazy fans. Self-control and cute.
What's more, this whole film is about the movie~~
I personally like the third paragraph very much, especially the dialogue about the movie, which mentioned Max Linder, Chaplin, Riefenstahl and GW Pabst, and ignore the political factors. Said, they are all directors I admire very much. There are two lines that I love very much in this paragraph. One sentence is: I always preferred Linder to Chaplin, Except Linder never made a film as good as “The kid”. "Wandering" is obviously more classic.) Another sentence is: I'm French. We respect directors in our country, Even Germans. When French people see this line, they will be happy to blossom.
Speaking of the whole movie, of course, I personally disagree with the comment that "this is Quentin's best film". In comparison, I love the charming roughness in "Pulp Fiction", the great lines and the actors who are basically unable to gather together... But this is indeed Quentin's most exquisite one. Film. Quentin once again made good use of his best structural skills, but did not play too many tricks. The bright lines of action and the dark lines of the theater are perfectly intertwined, and the narrative is very rigorous. However, the countless exaggerated passages and large dialogues about the film in the film show that this is always a Quentin movie.
Although the two films are completely different things, this film always reminds me of my life favorite-Liu Bieqian's "Survival or Destruction". Except for using the Nazis as a means to get rid of them and using art forms as a means of winning (the "Sheng" film is a drama), both films have an excellent sense of humor that runs through from start to finish, the behavior and key lines of all the characters in the film Both are serious and KUSO, and the character's identity is set to make people laugh: the British guy on the mission is a former film critic, double agent, she is a popular movie star, and a messenger of justice with family feuds. She is a theater. The master, the German hero sniper, he is the prototype of the movie and the protagonist...
not to mention that the cause and result of the whole story are movies. The big battle is in the theater, and the deadly weapon that wiped out Hitler and the Nazis-it is nitrate film ,film!
The last line of the film is also Quentin's monologue: "I think this may be my Masterpiece." It is indeed the case.
Finally, like the OST of the film-Morricone is still awesome, as always, the "chaotic stew" is also very moving, and the degree of refreshing is similar to the OST of "Kill Bill".
(The last PS sentence: The actor who plays Hans really looks like Tim Roth...)
