There is a distance in my heart, but I am willing to be plain, for a reason.

All the most exciting ideals are just moments of joy, and perhaps the greatest happiness is the real life. I really like the first ten minutes: dreamy imagination, ordinary life, always able to carry the ideals and continue again and again. I was moved when I saw the colorful balloons being released from the chimney, and I was always very unpromising to be moved by some details. At the end, the old man accompanied the little boy to count the passing cars. I have had such boring days, but the format is different. There is a distance in my heart, but I am willing to live a plain life for a reason.

No matter how big the storm is, no matter how beautiful the scenery is, it needs the company of love to be worth it.

Why do I always remember those boring little things, but it is these little things that I miss the most.

Up quotes

  • Young Ellie: [Ellie opens her Adventure Book to reveal to Carl a "Life" magazine with Charles Muntz on the cover] You know him.

    [Carl gasps]

Young Ellie: Charles Muntz, explorer. When I get big, I'm going where he's going,

[pulls away the magazine to reveal a map of...]

Young Ellie: South America. It's like America, but south.

  • Carl Fredricksen: [to Russell] Now, we're gonna walk to the falls quickly and quietly with no rap music or flashdancing.

    Russell: Uh-huh.

Carl Fredricksen: We have three days, at best, before the helium leaks out of those balloons. And if we're not at the falls when that happens...

Russell: [behind Carl, obviously distracted, looking down] Sand.

Carl Fredricksen: ...we're not getting to the falls.

    Russell: I found sand!

Carl Fredricksen: [looks up at his house, through a window, to where a picture of old Ellie hangs on the wall] Don't you worry, Ellie. We'll get our house over there.
