Mediocre fairy tale

I have heard a lot of positive comments about it before, and I expected it, and I released the Blu-ray version, but it’s not as good as I imagined. I feel that it can only be regarded as a very ordinary film. I think the ending is the biggest failure. The first sixty minutes, I think it's a pretty good fairy tale. Telling the story with the old grandma at the beginning is also very responsive, and even the old grandma's legend about snowing at the end is also a fairy tale. But the place where the killing at the end is too bloody and unmatched for a fairy tale movie, ruining the atmosphere of the entire movie. Furthermore, I don't think this movie can be called the climax. In the end, the description of the emotional lines of the heroes and heroines is too detailed, and it does not make people think that this is a main line, but in the end the movie seems to try to make it the main line.
In fact, if it can be arranged into a complete fairy tale movie, it should be very good. Grandpa's automatic pastry making equipment is very cute.

The 30th anniversary 4K restoration is really sad to see. Love did not impress me, but the community's slanderous attitude towards Edward hit me because it was too easy to diverge from reality. Our society’s tolerance for heterogeneous species is always limited to one’s own comfort zone. If it exceeds the limit, it’s just a pot of dirty water being poured over. How can there be any force to go up to Kongtong Mountain, in fact, those people have never been down the mountain in their entire life.

Most of the characters in Tim Burton's films have negative IQs.

Edward Scissorhands quotes

  • Host-TV: Quite a story, yes? Any questions for Edward? Yeah, get way over. Stand right up.

Audience Member #1: What's been the best part of your new life here in town?

    Edward: The friends I made.

    Host-TV: Any other questions?

Audience Member #2: Have you ever thought of having corrective surgery or prosthetics? I know a doctor that might be able to help you.

Edward: I'd like to meet him.

Host-TV: We'll give that name after the show. Thank you very much. That's very nice. Anyone else? Yes, stand right up.

Audience Member #3: But if you had regular hands you'd be like everyone else.

    Edward: Yes, I know.

    Host-TV: I think he'd like that.

Audience Member #4: Then no one would think you're special. You wouldn't be on TV or anything.

Peg Boggs: No matter what, Edward will always be special.

  • [Kevin has brought Edward to his class for show and tell]

Kevin: One chop to a guy's neck, and it's all over.

[Edward does a karate pose; the class gasps in unison]
