Star Trek 11

I like watching science fiction movies, but I have no interest in this super "hard" space science fiction (Space Opera). In my eyes, their background is always set in the vast universe, humans and alien races. Driving a huge and complicated ship, flying around easily, hitting with a laser, I feel that everything is so far away from me, and all theories are so empty, it's really boring. However, I have always known that Star War and Star Trek (ST) are its two classic series, with a lot of fans. Star War has a lot of exposure in China, but I have watched all 6 movies, and there is no special feeling. Star Trek had barely touched him, except that there was a man in tights and pointed ears making strange gestures.

The direct reason that prompted me to watch Star Trek 11 immediately was the two American dramas: One was LOST. The five-season big hole has not been filled so far. I admire its director and screenwriter JJAbrams. When the fifth season of LOST just ended, JJ came with his ST 11. People who like to watch LOST want to see his latest movie work, anyway, I am. The other is The Big Bang Theory, where ST is everywhere. The four otakus are all hardcore fans of ST. Among them, the super cute male pig Sheldon is the most obsessed. In almost every two episodes, they will mention ST, the protagonist Spock, or a certain character, planet, or theory in it. The more impressive pieces are: English Scrabble games played by ordinary people, they spelled words of the Vulcan family; Rock-Paper-Scissors (rock-scissors-cloth) guessing game, upgraded to Rock-Paper-Scissors by Sheldon -Lizard-Spock (Rock-Scissors-Cloth-Lizard-Spock), he uttered the rules of the game with a mouthful, his small face and neck were flushed, and the veins burst. Transferred a line from the Internet-"That's simple. Scissors cuts paper. Paper covers rock.Rock crushes lizard.Lizard poisons Spock.Spock smashes scissors.Scissors decapitates lizard.Lizard eats paper.Paper disproves Spock.Spock vaporizers rock. And as it always has, rock crushes scissors." ("This is too simple. Scissors cut cloth, cloth wrapped rocks, rocks to kill the lizard, the lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes the scissors, the scissors decapitate the lizard, the lizard eats The paper dropped, and the paper proved that Spock did not exist. Spock melted the rock. In the end, the rock broke the scissors as before.”) Such a superb bridge really made me stunned, and I had to think about what ST is like. The film.

Looking at this kind of work with an epic background, it is unavoidable that some worries will be confusing. So I searched the Internet and found that Star Trek has a history of more than 30 years. Since 1966, there have been six super long episodes, ten movies, and related books, comics, and games, not to mention. This time, the eleventh movie will be released super fast in China. The content is relatively independent, so you can watch it with confidence. At the same time, I was also amazed by the side poster of the new version of Spock: the neat bob head, stern Nike eyebrows, and long pointed ears are all very fashionable elements. So he ran into the cinema under the call of JJ's supernatural power. Spock turned over the old and old image before, so young and attractive, and the way of speaking is exactly the same as Sheldon, with no expression on his face, only logic, and more passive voice. When Kirk and old Spock met, R and I sighed at the same time, "LOST’s crossing appeared, but it’s the same director!" The whole story is very slippery. The cause and effect are very clear. The tension is interspersed with small humor. Keep holding on to my emotions. In the state of our aesthetic fatigue on the special effects blockbusters, the visual effects of this film are still very realistic and exquisite. The special effects of the old beauty are getting better and better. Next is to watch Transformers 2. And JJ used the music in LOST. Very good, not inferior in ST. After watching it, I was still excited, which made me yearn for space opera. The tiny earth moves silently in a lonely universe, and the unremitting exploration of mankind keeps it alive and prospering. This is really a perfect space science fiction commercial film.

PS Even so, I still don't have much interest in seeing the old ST, because at that time Spock was too old, visually unattractive, and the costumes and props were very simple.

Star Trek quotes

  • George Kirk: What are we gonna call him?

Winona Kirk: We could name him after your father.

George Kirk: Tiberius? You kidding me? No, that's the worst. Let's name him after your dad. Let's call him Jim.

Winona Kirk: Jim. OK, Jim it is.

George Kirk: Sweetheart, can you hear me?

    Winona Kirk: I hear you.

George Kirk: I love you so much. I love you...

  • Leonard 'Bones' McCoy: Permission to speak freely, sir?

    Spock: I welcome it.

Leonard 'Bones' McCoy: Do you? OK, then. Are you out of your Vulcan mind? Are you making a logical choice, sending Kirk away? Probably. But, the right one? You know, back home we have a saying: "If you're gonna ride in the Kentucky Derby, you don't leave your prize stallion in the stable."

Spock: A curious metaphor, doctor, as a stallion must first be broken before it can reach its potential.

Leonard 'Bones' McCoy: My God, man, you could at least ACT like it was a hard decision.

Spock: I intend to assist in the effort to reestablish communication with Starfleet. However, if crew morale is better served by my roaming the halls weeping, I will gladly defer to your medical expertise. Excuse me.

Leonard 'Bones' McCoy: [as Spock leaves] Green-blooded hobgoblin.
