"The Mist"

The story told in this movie comes from real events. Like "Jack the Ripper", "Zodiac Killer" is also an unsolved case. But this unsuspecting case is almost no suspense. The suspect just lacks enough evidence to be identified. From the beginning of the murder to the end, the fog clears up, telling us the life of a cartoonist and policeman who pursued the truth. Maybe the killer was that Li, maybe not, or just Li alone. At the end of the movie, the man who was attacked and did not die at the beginning of the movie identified Li, but by accident he suffered a heart attack and died before the interrogation began. In the subtitles at the back of the movie, we learned that this case was still an unsolved case in the end. It was not full of mystery. It mocked the existing judicial system and slammed those who evaded responsibility. The sin will be revealed sooner or later, but sooner or later.

Vinci’s film is completely suspenseful and scary—you can't even accuse him of using tricks to fool people, he just told a story objectively. Although the first half was so stuffy that I was sleepy, the last 40 minutes were really beautiful. Another very NB place is the ringing of the phone from time to time in the background, which often makes me breathless and unbearable. 2010.10.16
