I first knew about this series from the sister Nelly who took an astronomy class together in the first semester. I finally decided to read this book, mostly for her.
She studied English and American literature, and when she was a senior, she resolutely transferred to another school. The reason was that the little-known community college was close to home.
I can still remember that she drove me to the bus stop in the snow at six o'clock in the morning, and refused to let me get off when I arrived. The two people chatted with each other. In the end, I became anxious. Although there were still fifteen minutes before the bus departure, I jumped out of the bus and said goodbye hastily and ran away. I didn't understand at the time, maybe it was the last time I saw her. Later I thought about it and ruled out the possibility that we would encounter her in the vast sea of people in the future. It was indeed the last time I saw her. We once talked about fantasy and science fiction, Neil Gaiman and Tolkien while looking for constellations against the simulated starry sky on the spherical sky. She recommended this series to my Stephenie Meyer, saying it is her favorite.
But now, a year later, I know why this is her favorite.
After all, Nelly is still a little girl. Even though I was just a freshman when I met her and she was already a senior, but I want to like watching the Twilight series, people who have warmth and softness in their hearts, longing and fantasies.
I went to watch it almost a week after Twilight was released, during the Thanksgiving holiday. There are not many people in the theater, most of them are little girls from grades 7 to 12. They laugh from time to time. I think most of them should have read the novel, and I believe some of them may have watched this movie for the second time. Twilight is like a small topic among girls. When I stayed overnight at my friend's house, I lay in bed and talked about handsome boys and sweet love. Then a few people laughed together. What if the most handsome boy in the school she loves is a vampire, she is not afraid, all she is afraid of is losing him.
So actually this movie is not my type, and I felt a little boring when I watched it. If you watch it as a vampire movie, you will be disappointed. If you want to watch it as a suspense action movie, you will also be disappointed. If you watch it as a romantic movie, you will probably feel surprised. It's not just the love story between the two, including Bella's father's love for her, the joy of Edward's family, and the friendship between friends at school, even if the movie takes place in a small town that is rainy all year round, even if it arrives. Finally, there is another thrill, the whole story is still tender.
What about the love between vampires and humans, I love you, that's enough.
