Not the darkest, only darker

"Blood Black Gold", I watched this film for a long time, but I never knew how to write it.
Regardless of how Daniel Lewis is emotionally bastard and ruined the big beauty Adjani (I just heard about this, I don't know the details, I hope it is correct), but his role as Plewell is impeccable.
Wei Lan said that she didn't like the movies I recommended to her, saying that it was uncomfortable to watch-the best movies of 2007, it was uncomfortable to watch, for example, I once said that it was the darkest "Old Nowhere".
Sorry, I was wrong, and it is excusable, because I knew there was such a "THERE WILL BE BLOOD" at the time, but I hadn't had time to watch it yet.
If the black of the Coen brothers is a bit demon, flowing around, then the black of Paul Thomas Anderson is frozen around you, making people breathless.
There is another difference. I know the darkness of "Old Nowhere" at first glance, but the darkness of "Blood Black and Gold" has penetrated into my mind little by little over the past few days.
But this is all a matter of personal feeling, everyone will have a different feeling when watching the same movie.
It is said that the story is not complicated, nor does it have as many extra-detailed shots as in "The Battle of Elagu". Under Paul's command, all the shots are so rough, but very gloomy. In fact, people don't know how to play flowers. When Mary Oil Well caught fire, the young HW's ears were deafened, so in front of him, all the magnificent waves were silent.
Speaking of which, the soundtrack of this film is absolutely perfect. It will never come out when you expect it, and it will come when you don’t expect it, but it is definitely well organized. The harshness comes from a source, not a fake. Big tail wolf. Half of my emotions are mobilized by the soundtrack.
I used a word just now, ear-piercing. really. But such harsh music does not make me irritable, but makes me feel depressed and lonely, and these two words are closer to the essence of this movie.

Other actors are also great, especially PAUL DANO, who plays pastor. That is also a crazy and gloomy person. Throughout the movie, this guy confronts the same crazy and gloomy but more fierce Plewell many times. The energy of these two buddies is what greed is in acting.

After watching this movie, and the other two full of details and metaphors "Yi Yi" and "The Battle of Elago", I have a deeper experience of the word detail. Details are important, but not all. The important thing is that you have to have a powerful, finishing touch. For example, the last line of "THERE WILL BE BLOOD": "I'M FINISHED."
This is a very important sentence. This is the last sentence of Jesus when he died on the cross. After this moment, Plewell completed his full refuge in the dark, and his black salvation was complete, and the remaining slight true feelings of HW were wiped out in the vicious curse and the constantly flashing shots.
This movie is so dark, the last bit of light has disappeared.
