I personally think that the second part is much more exciting than the first, no matter from the narrative rhythm or the logic of the story. Compared with the second part, the first part is more like an introduction, opening the door to the magical world. The second part is more ups and downs, confused, suspicious, and sometimes a little shocked. Muggles and wizards, Slytherin and Gryffindor, Malfoy and Harry. Suddenly weird Dobby, secret room legend, secret voice, unusual crawling spider, frequent petrified people, crying myrtle, wordless diary... a little clue is strung together, pointing to the end s answer.
Harry, who has the "talent" of Slytherin, chose to become Gryffindor, as Dumbledore said, "It is not our abilities that show what we truly are, it is our choices."
