Although the plot is old-fashioned, there is no new idea, the scene is magnificent, it is epic but lacks ideology... But it is beautiful! The magnificent scenes, amazing special effects, beautiful soundtrack and Kolo's superb acting skills are really enough to support an excellent film. No need to compare with "Benxu", plunge into it and experience his glorious and tragic life with Maximus.
One of my favorite movies, but the plot and ideology are indeed two major shortcomings.
The most memorable scene: At the end of the film, Kuroko said "not yet", and then the camera panned up, and the sun shot in from the upper window of the huge arena. The feeling of grandeur, with a kind of kingly breath, really makes People shocked!
