I support Angel, and I strongly hate Burton-"Deadly Magic"

Recently I watched several movies about magic in a row. First is "Magician" and then this "Deadly Magic". I do not want to discuss the details of the film in detail, nor do I want to analyze how many places in the film suggest that Burton is a twin. I just want to say that I support Angel and strongly hate Burton.
According to the general understanding, this is a tragic film. The two male protagonists (three to be precise) have tragic characters and endings, but relatively speaking, Burton always has the upper hand. Win more. But in my opinion, the director's arrangement of the two roles is very unfair, and Burton deserves more hatred. Because everything started from Burton’s desire for magic, he changed Angel’s wife’s wrist binding method without permission, which directly led to the death of Angel’s wife. After Angel's wife died, no matter how many reasons he had, he should apologize to his partner, but stubbornly said that he didn't know. This paranoid attitude is the beginning of the whole incident. And his stubborn life in magic with his twin brother not only led to the death of his wife, but also made Olivia an abominable traitor, and did not lead a happy life.
In contrast, even though Angel liked magic at the beginning, he did not have such an attitude of willingness to do anything for magic. He was more willing to live a happy life with his beautiful wife. I really like the detail of him kissing his wife's legs when he tied her feet. This kind of uncontrollable love is very pleasant. One can imagine the anger and pain in his heart when his lover was taken away by the mistake of this guy Burton. Although his subsequent revenge behavior escalated, and he gradually lost himself in this continuous pursuit of magic, and even designed to kill Burton, I prefer to understand his behavior as being driven by the initial anger. Fighting for your lover is an act worthy of appreciation.
I hate what Burton said to Angel at the end. Angel was willing to sacrifice his substitute for magic. He lost his wife, Olivia, and his only life. Burton was not qualified to say such cruel words to him again. But since the director and screenwriter arranged this way, I can't help it. I resolutely defend the creative rights of the director and screenwriter, but I also resolutely want to express that I strongly support Angel and strongly hate Burton.
The quality of the film itself is good, but because of my emotional relationship, it's okay to give it only. Ha ha

20110915@ The library, there are overcrowded, some people are sitting on the steps to watch... Nolan is riding the world with a pair of scissors and is invincible. It was his success to leave the theater to discuss for half an hour. Although the story is a bit bloody, and the setting is a bit tricky (the narrative trick is to set it to be dragged out and killed...), but the screenwriter is really wonderful. In terms of actors, Scarlett Johansson is full of coquettish, Batman v Wolverine, David Bowyer actually played Tesla...

One takes turns on stage with his brothers to enjoy the cheers and applause, and one self-sacrifice and self-destruct so that the replica can continue the artistic life. Humanity is annihilated in fanaticism.

The Prestige quotes

  • Cutter: Take a minute to consider your achievement. I once told you about a sailor who drowned.

Robert Angier: Yes, he said it was like going home.

Cutter: I lied. He said it was agony.

  • Alfred Borden: He's progressive, he's predictable, he's boring. I mean, Milton's got success, whatever that means, and now he's scared, he won't take any risks at all. I mean, he's squandering the goodwill of the audience with these tired, second-rate tricks...

Robert Angier: They're all favorites, please...

Alfred Borden: Favorites? Come on, give me something fresh, he wont even try a bloody bullet catch!

Cutter: A bullet catch is suicide, all it takes is some smart-ass volunteer to put a button in the barrel...

Alfred Borden: Fine, use a plant!

Robert Angier: You can't use plants for every trick!

Julia McCullough: There'll be no seats left for the punters!

    [laughs]

Alfred Borden: Fine, no bullet catch, whatever, but the point is... a real magician tries to invent something new, that other magicians are gonna scratch their heads over, you know?

Cutter: Right, then you sell it to him for a small fortune?

    Alfred Borden: All right...

Cutter: I suppose you have such a trick?

    Alfred Borden: Actually, I do.
