Today I revisited the movie Lord of the Rings. The second brush found that the most touching character was actually the little follower Sam. This short and fat hobbit bravely rescued frodo when he was on the verge of being swallowed by the Lord of the Rings many times. When Frodo was confused and fragile and wanted to give up, he awakened Frodo with his sonorous words, and saw faith, bravery, firmness, hope and mission in Sam. This may be the vast Middle-earth world described by Tolkien. The epic poem wants to convey the precious spirit to us. This most precious conviction is fully demonstrated in Sam.
Moved my lines:
Sam:Fold in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to Sam?
Sam: There is some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for.
"What are our beliefs?" "Believing in a certain kind of goodness in this world is worth fighting for to the end."
