Troy

It took three hours to watch this film. Maybe I didn't really understand the meaning of this film, but this film did leave something in my heart. 1. Achilles and Hector are legends of the times and tragic heroes. At the end it says that I live in the age of Hector, I live in the age of Achilles. It is true that the names of Achilles and Hector will be remembered forever, and the world will always remember the two strongest warriors in the Trojan War. But they are also tragic heroes, they will not escape the fate of death after all. They don't like war, but they can't help it. Hector didn't want to fight because he had a beautiful wife and a lovely son. He wanted to watch his son grow up a little bit, but what could he do? He was the strongest warrior in Troy, he was the king of Troy. When the enemy invaded Troy, he must take up a shield and spear to resist. With this tragic fate, Hector had no choice. In my opinion, Achilles actually didn't like war. He does not fight for any country, but for honor. After Briseys persuaded him, he decided to give up attacking Troy and prepare to go home. If it weren't for his cousin, he would not have killed Hector. When watching this film, I was thinking if Achilles and Hector were not on the opposite side, and if Hector didn’t kill Achilles’ cousin by mistake, they would become brothers! Even if they can't be brothers, they are opponents who respect and admire each other. I remember Achilles’ tears when he looked at Hector’s body, and he said, "We will meet soon, brother." I think Achilles should have some helplessness and guilt at that time. Anticipating the fate of his own death. Second, I have seen the sentence "Once the killer has feelings, it means death." This sentence is vividly reflected in the film. Achilles initially agreed to participate in the war because he wanted to leave his name in this war for future generations to remember. But what he didn't expect was that he met Briseys, the girl who tempted her. Achilles rescued her several times, set her free when the king of Troy wanted to return his son's body, and finally hid in the wooden horse just to protect her. I think Achilles is affectionate, and because of this it hastened his death. Once the killer has feelings, he has weaknesses. If Achilles did not hide in the Trojan horse, did not go to Briseys, if he set sail home after killing Hector, maybe he would not die. But Achilles is such a person. Killing someone is very decisive; loving someone is very affectionate. He loves Briseys, so he wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice his life for her. Three wars are cruel, and death is very scary. Troy wanted to reconcile at first, just to stop the soldiers from bleeding and death. In a war, how many wives will lose their husbands, and how many children will lose their fathers. I remember when the women in Troy watched their dead husband being burned. They were sobbing and crying, and the sadness on their faces could not be concealed. In fact, I am a little angry with the little prince Paris, because he paid the price of his life for these soldiers for his own selfish desires and for his love. If he did not bring Helen back to Troy, there would be no war between the two countries that reached a reconciliation in a short time. People can live peacefully, and children can grow up under the protection of their fathers. Maybe someone will sing for the desperate love of Paris and Helen, but I don't agree with it at all. They loved desperately, and in the end they just lost their homeland. Compared with them, the soldiers who died lost much more. They can no longer watch their children grow up, their names are forgotten in the smoke of war. Three wars are cruel, and death is very scary.
