DreamWorks Animation has repeatedly produced high-quality products. As a representative work of anti-traditional and anti-fairy tales, "Shrek" caused a sensation once it was launched and became popular all over the world. Ugly and lonely green monsters, lively donkeys nagging fear of heights, and princesses at night and day, all conquered the audience because of their unique charm.
Ugly monsters in the swamp, bathing in mud, using earwax as candles, eating weird food, and seemingly happy to live alone. Is the monster alone? We seem to be like this, he shouldn't have realized it, until a donkey broke into his life, followed by all kinds of fairy tale characters. The journey afterwards was full of danger and passion, and Shrek took the donkey on an anti-traditional road of salvation.
The princess is also anti-traditional. She knows kung fu, and because the curse will turn into a green monster at night, she is waiting for the kiss of true love to break the curse and change back to the always beautiful herself. She thought that the beauty during the day was the real self, but unexpectedly, this setting was actually very realistic. If Fiona is always beautiful, can she live with Shrek in the days to come. After all, it is a fairy tale. In order to live a happy life together, one can change a form and another way.
The film’s humor is of course the stubborn donkey, which has taken over most of my giggles.
