A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.
A person on the earth is smart, but a group of people may be stupid, thinking of the saying that the Chinese are dragons or worms, coincidentally, the villain of this film is the Zerg. I think this should not be an allusion to the celestial dynasty. It is more of an excavation of the nature of being a common person, from the crowd and even blind obedience, so that human beings who may be intelligent as individuals become dumb, panicky, dangerous animals.
