I was in the habit of listening to the radio. I was introduced to this film on a Saturday English night.
First of all, I was attracted by its name, and I wrote it in Mansong. On my first New Year’s card,
I didn’t get the DVD of this movie until recently.
This should be the coolest and most depressing movie played by Jim Carrey.
It’s about the story of stranded love & redemption
(I’m I think so, because the sci-fi technique used in this film is always confusing, and even feels like a horror film. After reading relevant information on the Internet, I understand a little) The
protagonist Joey is an old-fashioned office worker. One day in 2002, an accidental idea made him take a trip to Montaque Beach in New York, where he met the heroine Clay. She is an adventurous and bohemian girl. From then on, Joey seemed to feel a new life. After several conversations and exchanges, they began to associate.
But the good times didn't last long. Starting in the second half of 2003, the relationship between the two turned from sweetness to deterioration. One day in early 2004, after they had a big fight, Clay found a company called Lacuna and asked them to wipe Joey from their memories.
Joey was furious after discovering this, because Clay had forgotten everything that had happened between them, (this feeling of pain and helplessness, set off by the background music, is very touching) so he Decided to have this operation too, erasing Clay from his memory. It was just before Valentine's Day in 2004.
During the operation, the past events related to Clay in Joey's memory were deleted one by one in chronological order from near to far. As the past reappeared, Joey gradually discovered that he and Clay had had a happy time after all. He regretted it and wanted to keep Clay in his memory to stop the operation. But it was too late. At this time, he could not interrupt the operation. He was completely living in his own consciousness. Therefore, Joey had no choice but to create interference by himself, and took Clay to hide deep in the memory where the machine could not find, in order to escape the fate of being deleted, which can also be said to be an escape from the cruelty of reality.
In the end, Joey's plan was unsuccessful, and they were found by the machine. So, on the Montauk beach where the two first met, Joey told Clay, "Remember to come to Montauk to find me." Then the operation ended, and everything about Clay in Joey's memory disappeared. Despite Joey's hard work, all his memories of Clay were erased.
So, on Valentine's Day in 2004, with an unexplainable wish, he came back to Montaque Beach and met Clay who came in the same way. However, neither of them can recognize each other.
Fortunately, a nurse from Lacuna found that her memory had been secretly erased, and angrily sent all the information about the surgeon back to me. Therefore, Joey and Clay both got their self-reported tapes before the operation. They finally understood what happened.
The film is almost over here. They all recognize the
beautiful scenes of each other and make people feel that they will have a chance. The misunderstandings and contradictions between them seem to be relieved in the embarrassing laughter.
Maybe the memory is not willing to be easily taken. With erase,
you only need to meet someone in one second, fall in love with someone in one minute, and marry someone in a day, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
Perhaps the eternal sunshine of a beautiful soul does not really mean that
this poem comes from Pu In line 209 of Bai’s "Elois to Abelard", the context is this:

It is the true love in people’s hearts.
Although they have hurt each other, they have always been entangled with each other, and they are worried about
the absurdity and predicament of love in life. I can’t let go of
it. Because of love, I don’t want to give up easily, just like sunshine,
unless it’s eternal. The target is wrong.
The characters in the film seem to be not beautiful and kind,
but when they face true love, their hearts are absolutely pious and touching............
These are all my personal understanding, they are all Maybe
But what I really want to say is that I realize that true love can
not pass away. Love has not been passed away…………
