At the end of the film, when Barsari watched Eleanor's appearance with that nervous and happy expression, my tears came out. He has always hidden his cowardice, even when Driss is joking about his disability, he politely stops it, or laughs together. But deep down, he was sad. He longed for love, but he dared not touch it again. His love can only be hidden in gorgeous poems. He didn't even have the courage to send a photo of his life. During the date, he ran away because of fear. It was Dres, who encouraged him to call, step out of textual communication, and into the real world. It was Dries, who helped him reschedule a date. Bassari was frightened and lost, and these were finally freed when Eleanor appeared. I feel that the actors of Barsari are doing really well. Those eyes with tears and smiles, and the slightly twitching corners of the mouth fully interpret Barsari’s tension and joy.
