From "Taxi Driver" to "Angry Bull" to "Once Upon a Time in America", the subtle changes in the hearts of those characters are always vividly expressed by him, without the slightest pretentiousness. It is said that De Niro drove a taxi for 12 hours for a month in order to play "Taxi Driver".
