As soon as the film opens, there is a large wheat field with dark clouds over the environment. At first glance, the film has such an inexplicable taste of a literary thriller. Then the appearance of the dementor was so sudden that the film officially added the element of horror. And the most horror flavor is the treatment of the film when Dudley and Harry ran into the bridge hole—there was nothing but a heavy breath—what a classic and clichéd horror film atmosphere.
The Harry Potter series of films, since the third step, directed by Alfonso Cuarón, have lost the bright colors that were only available in childhood. Gryffindor’s scarf is like a cool Photoshop filter, and the bright red and yellow colors are no longer visible. Everything began to become black. Although the director in the fourth film piled up a lot of plots indiscriminately, it couldn't hide the film's growing dark and magical temperament.
The so-called magic is different from fantasy in my eyes. We call the [Lord of the Rings] series of movies magical, and the first two films of [Harry Potter] are fantasy, just because fantasy is "odd" and magic is in the darker "magic".
Speaking of the movie, because the focus is on the inner drama, those magic has gradually become the props for the plot of the movie, and no longer become the highlight of the audience's attention. Although there are many gorgeous and beautiful shots in the whole film, I think it is only to establish the commercial temperament of the film. This shows that David Yates' efforts can be described as a success.
I list the following signs that I think the film is mature + commercial + magical temperament:
★When Sirius died, he used slow motion and noise reduction, and the background music was sensational and vulgar but not evil.
★A series of flashback shots of Harry when he was captured by Snape and when Voldemort was possessed, they were vulgar but not evil, and I did not hesitate to think of [Butterfly Effect].
★The DA division activities and Umbridge’s tyranny are cross-exposed, and the handling is very reasonable and mature.
★The priority of the plot is handled appropriately, and when it is slow, it is slow, which is far better than the fourth.
★ The dazzling fireworks when the Weasley brothers rushed out of the campus shattered all the prohibitions on the Umbridge wall, which has a strong sense of lens representation.
★The news display footage of the "Daily Prophet" reminded me of [L.A. Confidential] without hesitation.
Where did I shed tears:
★When Professor Trelawney played by Emma Thompson was stripped of his teaching position by the bitch Umbridge.
★When Sirius died.
★When Harry confronted Voldemort in his body, thinking of love and friendship, and resisting Voldemort's temptation and torture tenaciously.
In my opinion, David Yates is extremely successful in introducing Harry to the adult commercial film stage, which symbolizes the maturity and childishness of Harry and our generation. I predict that the appearance of the corpse in the next episode will add a mature thriller and horror to the film, so I look forward to it.
