It's troublesome to think about the title

Those who look for "Zodiac" in the name of David Fincher will probably feel disappointed. Because of this film, there is no 200 kilogram fat man who is supported alive, there is no pink high-quality soap made of human fat, and it does not even have the sense of superiority brought by the harsh criticism of the mob. In short, it's really a warm and exhausting film.
Could it be that this director who was born in MTV suddenly became simple and low-key? of course not! If you look closely at the form of "Zodiac", you will find that although it presents a stereotyped picture like a TV documentary, it is actually as exquisite and sophisticated as the robes of Victorian ladies: in order to pursue an objective effect, almost Using only the middle lens and the panoramic view, the subject is always in the center of the picture (not to mention what this means for a suspense thriller, the difficulty of narration caused by this limitation is quite amazing), no special effects, no any Rendering, the only bird's eye view of the gorgeous Golden Gate Bridge actually flickered for two seconds (and obviously it was reluctantly added for the good-looking trailer). It's a lunatic + paranoid movie.
indeed so.
Because this movie is about how an ordinary person grows into a paranoid, and then desperately pushes himself to run out of ammunition and food. The spoiler is shameful, so I won't say much about the plot.
Both the film itself and the protagonist in the film are searching for the truth. The difference is that the film is subtracted and uses a minimalistic and objective perspective to avoid any special effects and subjective analysis that may bring true distortion; while in the film The characters add, collect all kinds of information, and try to extract the truth from the complex information. The latter not only got into a dead end, but also completely obliterated the true meaning (the number of deaths that can be determined in this incident is only five, and during the long investigation process, the number of people who died in traffic accidents in that block is unknown). The arrogance of the film lies in the belief that subtraction is better than addition, but in reality it is only a formal restoration. No one is God, who can present/contact pure reality? Whether it is the condensation on the outside of the film or the suffocation inside the film, it seems that this has not been possible.
But it’s not all hopeless. The whole film is like a mollusk squeezing itself into a spiral shell. When desperation is suffocating, a small glimmer appears on the top of the shell, but it’s like It is an optional "consolation prize" awarded to the loser, and it will not make people feel better if given it...
As for the truth, either you are completely desperate for it, or you have never been interested in it, otherwise, it can be It's really a lifetime trouble for everyone, it's how much energy they can't fill.
Finally, there is one more question: Is this film good? I want to say yes, not only because of its superb skills and courageous experimental spirit, but also because of its accuracy and thought-provoking. Any film, no matter what point it does, is worthy of recognition.

Well, the movie you like has become a homework, but it can't be made easy... Black crime: low-key lighting, detective psychology, case-led. Vinci style: long lens, low saturated colors. Realism: traditional techniques (breakthrough, type and authorism limitations)

Crime is not the point, the point is people.
