Pan's Labyrinth-The Land of the Latin People

This is not a film that the author likes very much. Compared with "The Chronicles of Narnia", it lacks some warmth, and it lacks some spirituality compared with "Mirror Mask", so the film's performance in this Oscar is indeed somewhat unexpected.
In Greek mythology, Pan refers to the half-man, half-goat of mountains and forests and the god of animal husbandry. The story takes place in Spain, so the concept of land naturally came into being.
On this land, at the end of World War II, the guerrillas and the fascists were fighting hard. The guerrillas hiding in the mountains and forests had no medicine or food, and were in extreme danger. However, the 12-year-old protagonist followed his mother to the fascist camp, and took refuge in his stepfather, a murderous fascist captain. The stepfather takes killing the guerrillas as the highest honor, while the mother is facing childbirth and is weak. In this case, the young protagonist Ophelia appears so lonely and helpless. So, under the influence of the war, In a lonely and empty mind, the little girl imagined a new world.
At the beginning of the film, the little girl was walking through the jungle and accidentally picked up a stone, which turned out to be the eyes of the statue, so she was chosen by God Pan. Rather than saying that these were the eyes of the statue, Mo Ruo said that these were the eyes of the little girl herself, but only this one, so the world she saw was inevitably deformed.
Near the camp is Pan Shen's labyrinth. Although it has been abandoned, in the eyes of the little girl, there are angels and Pan Shen, so she got a promise that after completing three tasks, she can move towards a kind of liberation. At the beginning of the film, it was said that a princess who had lost her way from the underworld could no longer find a way home in the human world, leaving only her father waiting in sorrow. Although there is a stepfather, Ophelia is obviously still a role missing her father, so she is ready to complete these three tasks in order to reach her dream world, of course, the most important thing is to see her real father.
The first task is to get the golden key. The tree is dead, and a huge toad is there to show off. The little girl successfully got the key. The green and dirty mangy skin of Toad was washed away, which seemed to be a prophecy. When the evil toad dies, the old tree can grow up. Only when the ancient Latin nation got rid of the rule of fascism could it really come alive, so this metaphor was extremely obvious. In reality, the waitress quietly delivered medicine to the guerrillas. Although it was not so successful, it actually showed the possibility of this kind of prediction.
The second task is to use the golden key to obtain the holy sword. In completing this task, Ofelia made a huge mistake. She ate the grapes and awakened the gray skeletons, so the two angels also had different heads. At the same time, the murderous captain was hit hard. The guerrillas, and killed the doctor, captured the waitress.
The third task is to fight for babies. First of all, the main reason why this baby was kept is due to the magic of God Pan. The root-like child is soaked in blood dripping milk. This is an obvious power from the earth, so this newborn child It has become a symbol of Spain, so the third task is to fight for Spain. Ophelia bravely saved the child, but paid the price of her life for it. The cruel colonel had no choice but to hand the child into the hands of the guerrillas. This is a sign of victory, although Ophelia can only lie beside the maze and let the blood soak the land.
Like "The Chronicles of Narnia", this is a film that uses magical elements to fight against war, and then educates our protagonist about bravery and responsibility. But this video is actually much more obscure. Through the magical adventures of the little girl, it seems more predictable.
In the ancient Latin land, Spain lost its direction, like a sleeping tree, dominated by evil fascists, and death spread all over the land. But the power of justice will eventually triumph, and neither the ugly toad or the terrible skeleton can stop this triumph. Although this text seems very dogmatic, it is indeed the main thrust of the film.
For the little girl, she actually went through a process of looking for her father, which means that although the fascist stepfather is fierce, he will never be her real father. The brave responsibility allows the little girl to find the dream world and find Sad father, although the process was horrible and bloody, the Spanish land was awakened. When the waitress told the captain that the child in her arms would no longer recognize this fascist father, we knew that the ghost of fascism would be vulnerable to a new life.
The film uses many factors to form a fable, which can also be said to be a metaphor. Lost in Spain is saved by courage and blood. Obviously, the ambition of this film is not only limited to a certain person, but also has a sense of nationality and land, which is quite poetic. But the mirror image of the film is so brutal and bloody, dark and terrifying.
Due to the film’s fascination with metaphorical plots, many places are quite unsmooth, especially the arrangement of the three missions is a bit far-fetched, which is quite meaningful for arrangement, although its intention is much deeper than that of "The Chronicles of Narnia". But for the audience, it is somewhat obscure, and its lens performance is indeed questionable.
