Infernal Affairs of Different Feelings

From Billy's often lip service "Fuck you", it determines the style of this film. The emphasis is on the truth, and compared with the Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs, it has a lot less sensational part. There is no goodbye to the police, everyone's death is so normal. Expressive without details. Kobe's role is more sloppy than Andy Lau's version. He didn't hesitate to delete Billy's file without Hua Tsai's regret. Maybe this is what the director wants, and it shows the difference between Eastern and Western cultures.

In the first dialogue between Billy and Kobe, using a peculiar instrument as the background music
did not know Director Martin's thoughts, and some did not understand.

Infernal Affairs, how to interpret the real infernal Affairs? Does this film reproduce the real Infernal Affairs?

The trilogy was integrated into this film, so it had to be narrated from a single line, and there was no tension in the plot of the Hong Kong version. The character setting is also too simple, full of blood and violence. But this is probably also related to the cultural differences between China and the West. Preconceived notions aside, it's still a pretty good Hollywood blockbuster.

It's not as good as the unconvincing Martin's control over the movie is already perfect. The plot arrangement is also more reasonable and fuller than the Hong Kong version. The solid acting skills are more attractive than the pure actors in the Hong Kong version. With a golden statue, this movie has to be more perfect and more legendary ;D

The Departed quotes

  • Billy Costigan: [to Frank Costello in Frank's bar] You accuse me once, I put up with it. You accuse me twice... I quit. You pressure me to fear for my life and I will put a fucking bullet in your head as if you were anybody else. Okay?

[Frank drops something. He reaches under the table and pulls up a gun. He looks at it as if he's never seen it before and then points it at Billy]

Frank Costello: You got something you wanna... ask me?

  • Colin Sullivan: [to Barrigan] You got a nice suit at home or do you like coming to work everyday dressed like you're goin' to invade Poland?
