Everyone says "Son of Man" is a science fiction movie. But comparing it to any science fiction movie I have seen, it is very unsci-fi. I even think "Golden Armor" is much more sci-fi than it. "Son of Mankind" is simply describing our present and even the past of mankind. Although its background is the future world nearly 20 years from now, even though that world is based on fantasy. I don't know how people define the word "science fiction". Just as people say that Zhang Xiguo's "Chess King" is a science fiction novel, I also disagree.
Modern people have imagined that one of the reasons for the demise of mankind is that there are too many people. This reason is very acceptable. Didn't Hawking say not long ago that if mankind wants not to perish, interstellar immigration is necessary. But "Son of Man" completely subverted this idea. In the movie, humans will have a big trouble in the future, that is, they will lose their ability to reproduce. Look, this is the consequence of our excessive indulgence.
Theo's process of escorting Kee and her son out of the building was really touching. I couldn't tell whether it was moved or excited, and at that moment I almost cried. But the reality is cruel, and the battle continues. Perhaps the battle at this time has been different. The previous battle was because of despair, but now it is because of hope.
According to legend, the ancestors of human beings were blacks. It just so happens that Kee, who can finally become pregnant in "Son of Man", is also black. A new beginning for mankind, or a new reincarnation?
