Maybe? ――The Infinite Walker

Maybe the Hong Kong version of "Infernal Affairs" is too impressed, maybe the pirated version of "Infernal Affairs" has many problems, and there may be some possible reasons. In short, although it is Martin's work, I still feel a little cold, at least In my opinion, "Infernal Affairs" will lose to "Infernal Affairs" in terms of atmosphere creation and fineness of the pictures.
However, it must be emphasized that a Hong Kong-style film in Infernal Walker has indeed become Martin's work. As a master pursued by many people, Martin has made many familiar films, such as "Yonyo Gang", "Angry Bull", "Poor Streets" and "Taxi Drivers" and so on. Regarding his image style, what we see is dark, dirty, narrow and cold tones, which seems to be his personal label as a master. Therefore, when we see "Infinite Walkers", the most obvious thing is these things, which are completely different from the Hong Kong-style meticulous craftsmanship.
It is impossible to explain which is the better of the two styles, but as far as this story is concerned, I prefer the Hong Kong style, which is simple and straightforward. But as I said before, "Infernal Walker" has a deep Martin brand, so I am afraid it is not a story to tell. So let’s put aside the Hong Kong movie called the rescue of the market and just talk about this one. "The Infinite Walker".
The story and some details do not seem to need to be repeated. From the perspective of clues, there is basically not much change. But the most eye-catching portrayal of the characters in this film.
What impressed me the most was that Dika’s boss changed from Huang Qiusheng to two people, and the biggest difference is that these two people used two personalities, one introverted and the other opener. The ending is also different, and the same man died. , A man presided over justice. This kind of change is actually very good for the plot. After all, it gave a brighter ending, that is, Damon must also slay. Although this slaying has become a kind of killing, the slaying itself is what the film wants to show off. And the two roles made Huang Qiusheng's tough guy more fuller. Another point is that Damon, the Infinite Being, has also turned into a tragedy. But we must see that Andy Lau in the Hong Kong version has survived, and there are still other undercover gangs around him. I am afraid that he will still be in a state of uninterruptedness in the future, but this kind of justice in the US film will kill him. Infinitely made an end, in other words, Damon was rescued. This is obviously a betrayal of the idea of Infinite Walker. In my opinion, Martin's change is somewhat superfluous, for the sake of a just ending, it did not leave the audience any room for imagination, and did not allow the audience to create the fate of the characters after the end of the film. Lenovo, this is a big failure. Of course, we can't deny that the added drama after Huang Qiusheng's clone can bring us more full-blown characters. (I want to explain here, maybe the role of Liming is embodied here, but it is undeniable that it is another story, and it seems a bit helpless in this story based on the first episode of "Infernal Affairs".)
Regarding Damon, to be honest, although I also have doubts about Andy Lau's acting skills, Andy Lau in "Infernal Affairs" did a very good performance. This is just a personal opinion. Looking at Damon, it seems to be more or less in this drama. Some are ill-tempered. The film adds some drama to Damon, especially his love line, but this love line makes him seem extremely normal, and it seems that he is far from reaching Andy Lau's divisive state. Maybe this is caused by the way of thinking and behavior of Westerners, I can’t say anything, but throughout the film, although the role of Damon has a lot more drama and plot, and it also promotes the development of the story appropriately, it is unfortunate. , Did not let me see him fall into the state of infernal Affairs, as if it was just a 007 breaking into the enemy, very cool and calm. And the two lines that killed Jack at the end seem to be the son's resistance to his father (again, a Western thinking), not about self-help behavior from black to white. So Damon failed. At least in my viewing, he was a failed role. Even though the old horse promoted his character, even if Damon’s acting skills are still very good, what he is left is just a kind of Pale and ordinary.
On the contrary, the role of Dika is much better than Damon. In the face of crime and cruelty, he couldn't be a true self. He could only seek solace from a psychologist, and even became more cruel and neurotic, making people feel that he was truly trapped in a deep and fierce infernal affairs. Of course, it’s definitely easier for a good person to be a bad person. This role is also easier than Damon’s. However, through cooperation with Lao Ma, Dika has made obvious progress in the portrayal of the characters in the play by his acting skills. This is beyond doubt. of.
Speaking of Jack, the ostentatious interpretation of this old drama has always been impressive, but it is somewhat different in this film. To be honest, Jack's cruelty and sin are indeed very thrilling, but only a little bit of wisdom is missing. Compared with Zeng Zhiwei, he is not enough to be the boss. This is my personal opinion.
For the whole film, in my opinion, it does not matter whether it is refined or not. What matters is the atmosphere, not the image, but the inner psychological atmosphere of the characters. Martin's remake was very successful with the repressive mirror image, but the changes to the character script obviously lacked some sense of despair. It seems that I don’t really understand the meaning of Infernal Hell, so it’s pretty good from the storytelling alone. From the character’s personality alone, it’s also full, but it’s a bit disappointing to put it together and lose the heart of the character. The real struggle.
Commenting on this film, there are many "maybe" existence, Western-style thinking (such as Damon's father-killing psychology), the depth of understanding of the infinite hell (such as the end of Damon's death), and Martin's unique social consciousness ( For example, there are many lines, rough imagery), etc., coupled with the preconceived comparison mentioned above, these "maybe" caused the author to not be able to watch the film with an original attitude. So the author’s more objective evaluation is that although Martin’s film is still a masterpiece in terms of film and television language, the error lies in the slight changes in the plot, and the actor’s method of deduction (introverted or publicized, which one is better? What is the theme of the film?).
All of this we can only say that this is a Martin's work, and it is by no means "Infernal Walker"!

Everything is handled too calmly, and sometimes it needs to be appropriately sensational, such as "Goodbye, police" in the original "Infernal Affairs"

Just open your mouth and shoot FUCK and headshot, Xiao Di is an irritable and depressed man. . . Jack Nicholson performed well. On the rooftop, Xiao Di beat Damon, a waitress and two husbands. It means that the gang is a Chinese trade computer chip. If you honestly say that the drugs are not over, you have to bypass it, but superfluous.
