This film continues Tim Burton's usual style-magical imagination. Especially the little black people in the factory. The creative limelight of little black people even overshadows the overall fantasy chocolate factory creativity. The little black man makes the whole film permeated with fairy tale color, and it is that kind of lively fairy tale. Tim Burton's videos are always like this, and there are some things that surprise you. For example, I watched "Edward Scissorhands" earlier, and now "Bigfish" and "Corpse Bride". I deeply like each one. Especially "bigfish". I even thought it was a film about immortality. In the river of time, how do we stay alive like a big fish? This inexhaustible vitality will make us live forever. Including "Chocolate Factory", in these films, Tim Burton tells the story with a childlike vision.
From the pale Edward Scissorhands, to the weak groom, to the neurotic Willie Wonka, Johnny Depp seems to be Tim Burton's favorite actor. Although the roles that Johnny portrays in these TIM movies have something in common, that is, loneliness and simplicity, Johnny is indeed a very flexible actor. Even in Tim's kingdom, he also filmed "Headless Sleepy Hollow" and "Edwood Biography" (I haven't watched it yet), not to mention his role as Pirates of the Caribbean. As far as he is concerned, he can turn from a manic rock musician in his early years to a gentle and good master. When watching a movie, it is easy to feel that the British accent is a thousand times stronger than the American accent. Because Johnny Depp also has a British accent.
